@morebullshi you are a minless lithium flouride junkie. Go to your crack dealer grr i mean ur dr. Get more crack grrr I mean prozac. It will be better all better.
Everybody's blaming Obama though he's not the real player. I don't care a shit about him but this propaganda against him is just luring away people's attention from the real players. Why is Exxon buying up BP so suddenly? Just don't tell me that it's trying to save the world from the disaster. Actually I can even imagine that Exxon was the one behind the scenes (just a good deal). And pls leave the terrorists (muslims to you) out of the whole thing. It's just insane not to see what is going on.
Great story. Makes me so mad about India. People deserve better. And all nations need to stop using oil it will only result in more problems. It's so great new presenter is asian woman she is perfect!
The lack of proper justice for Bhopal is intolerable, 2 years and freed on $500 bail, low compensation for deaths and disabled. There is another story here- India's gov. and judicial corruption. Also, India's afraid harsh sentences w/ penalties could scare off current/potential investment and factory development in India by foreign companies. The result, Union Carbide (along with other foreign disasters in India not mentioned here) get a slap on the wrist when they should get a kick to the face.
, , , India should have been more forceful in seeking compensation and justice for its citizens. I am not excusing Anderson - he should be held accountable. However, India should not have allowed him to fly home.
I commend President Obama for negotiating an initial $ 20 B in compensation for those directly affected in our Gulf states.
@azas1949 just imagen how much of that $20 billion is lining his pockets.
More towards Bhopal, i don't think anything should excuse a company for mass murder due to neglect, american or foreign country. I hope in the near future the families and even country effected seek justice for what Union Carbide did. It would be nice to know that any and all CEO/s of Union Carbide are all living a life of poverty if not behind bars.
@Edaeron ..... Please cite your sources of the $ 20 Billion lining anyone's pocketsand, in particular, those of President Obama. Also, imagine is the correct spelling.
@azas1949 Where on earth do you believe that 20 billion went? You believe the controlled media that BP really did assist in everyones recovery? You are delusional, and btw you should grow the fuck up. Only a child would attack someone on grammar or proper spelling when in a discussion.
@Edaeron ...... Until I see facts otherwise, I believe it is being spent on the victims. Once again, cite your sources. BTW, you should grow up and develop a brain. Only those without a brain can't cite facts and depend on speculation, can't spell correctly, and have to employ the use of foul gutter language. That has nothing to do with delusion.
@azas1949 your a ignorant child that hasn't opened their eyes and anyone can forgive you for that even me. How ever what i can do as physical evidence is drive around my home town, and others towns alike that are still to this day blue roofed homes from Hurricane Ike, I've worked in towns right off the Gulf coast where people to this day say due to the oil spill their out of business. Not everyone gets the help they need like the controlled media would have you believe.
@Edaeron ...... I am not looking for your forgiveness. I have done nothing wrong and you have no power to forgive me for anything. I know that businesses have gone kaput in the Gulf . . . I know that people have suffered. Some - not all - have received some compensation. I can't control the disparities. Our original topic was the Bhopal accident and how very little was done to bring justice to the people in India. Once again, India should have been more forceful in seeking justice.
America is trillions of dallars in debt, millions of Americans are loosing there homes, I did, my pets everything..our jobs are being out sourced to other nations, that is waht is going on with America. There are huge protests with thousands of people in the streets that the media ignors. our government is becoming a socialist megapower and Americas middle class is crumbaling.
@SilentPrayingmanTis America's debt has been growing and America's middle class has been crumbling (especially in terms of increasing wealth disparity) since the 1970s. The outsourcing of jobs can't be blamed on other countries or on our own government. It was wealthy American CEOs who sent our good jobs overseas. In many cases (e.g., Bhopal), the benefits for the poor people that received those jobs didn't outweigh the costs. When big business rules the world, everyone gets screwed.
Are the protests you're referring to the Tea Party movement? For perspective, the Peace Protest movement against the Iraq war was the fastest growing and largest protest movement in world history. The Peace Protest movement received less media attention than the Tea Party movement. The Peace Protest movement didn't have an entire news organization (such as Fox News) promoting it's protests. The only time the media ever gives much attention to protests is when there is violence or mass arrests.
@MarmaladeINFP yea , im just pointing out basic facts becouse this video was pritty biased, not telling waht is realy going on here in America. they think we're sitting back getting fat and living in mansions. not here to argue but you made some good point as well, but under waht you said they are(CEO"S), i persoanly feel that they are undermining American on purpose for a bigger goal. and the middle class and freedom are not apart of it.
@SilentPrayingmanTis I don't disagree with you about the facts, but I was disagreeing about your interpretation. As Jon Stewart said (to paraphrase), "If Obama is a socialist by giving tons of money to banks, he is dyslexic." I suppose you could define corporatism as socialism for the rich or as others have said: profits are privatized while losses are socialized. Bush's motivations were obvious as he came from a wealthy business family, but I don't know what Obama's motivations are.
@MarmaladeINFP Obama is a Muslim and Henrey Kisinger paid for his education and has ben on camera talking about needing a new world order i.e. a one world government.
@SilentPrayingmanTis It's hard for me to take a comment like this seriously. Like Bush, Obama is a convert to Christianity. Obama isn't a Muslim. I've never heard of any evidence that he ever was a Muslim. He grew up in Hawaii which isn't exactly known for it's Muslim culture and he was raised by his white American mother. As for a one world order, I don't know if Obama supports such ideas. As far as I can tell, he hasn't enacted policies that are overtly supportive of a one world govt.
@MarmaladeINFP i have a video of Obama on my youtube channel you might want to check. He also called America the second larges muslim nation. he also blaspheimd God and the bible in one of his speaches, he also refued to pledge aligence to the flag in another video.please dont believe me look it up for your self and check out the vid on my channel to..
The sad truth of the average American's view of the world: A single American job lost or a single American animal covered in oil is worth more than the lives of thousands of poor dark-skinned people who aren't American.
@SilentPrayingmanTis Americans (via businesses and military) cause more destruction and death around the world than any other country. And Americans probably do more good than any other country. Americans are a contradiction. The good doesn't disprove nor rationalize the bad. Anyways, I was talking about the view of the average American. America remains a country with racist tendencies. All Western countries treat eachother different than they treat developing countries with dark-skinned people.
