  • She is the combination of Kozena and Netrebko.

    Very promising soprano. Love her.

I gave her a standing ovation last time I saw her live as Mimi.

  • SCARY! This is not Faust! I've seen Faust performed three times: once at the MET, once in Vienna, & once in San Francisco.

Sorry I don't like modern versions of operas!

  • @MARKSVIGIL

I see what you mean - this has a heaping shovelful of Tannhauser's Venus that was not present in either (Goethe or Gounod) story. There's some Tannhauser in Faust's character, but whose idea was the scheming, greedy witch?

  • @VolkgartenBySquirrel HA HA HA! I couldn't agree more! An upstart in absolute garbage! I mean that in the nicest way!

  • @VolkgartenBySquirrel Shall we check out some of Mozart's Operas and Singspells?

  • @MARKSVIGIL

Good Morning - why, I haven't thought of three of these in years - and only knew the top 5! (I guess I have my read/watch list cut out for me) But I'm still waiting for the giant poisoned apple to roll in from stage left over the striped stockings!

  • @VolkgartenBySquirrel HE HE HE!

I was checking your downloads, are you a conservationalist?

  • Isn't she supposed to sit at a spinning wheel? Strange production. She moves like the wicked queen from Snow white. But that is the dirctotor's fault.

  • i dont like the arms movements

  • etrange mais c'est la seule qui a compris le sens du bacelet, dommage que dans le jeu de scène elle porte dejç ses deux accessoires, car l'intensité de ce moment elle l'avait.

  • Beautiful voice!

Too bad the directing/acting is so atrocious. What were they trying to get at?

  • complimenti,bella voce!!!!

  • Sabina blesti kjerkoli se pojavi!!!

    Bravo Sabina!

  • I dont know if the director wanted her to act like that but this is nothing close to Marguerite...

She is already much more than a demoiselle here...

  • He actually did. He didn't want to put her in classic tipe, because in the Goethe's she is sometimes described as she was guilty for Faust falling in love with her. In old times the woman was giulty for atraccting others. In this way the director went..

  • For literary reasons I can understand this "guilt" concept (unacceptable as it is for sane people today!!)

However, an innocent person can be even more "guilty" of this attraction. I should think this would befit Marguerite more.

All in all beautiful vocal performance and I know what it means to be under contract and have to do what you are told...

  • i tottaly agree with you. you can do small changes, but the main word has the director. But (if we don't include acting) is an amazing vocal performance of Sabina. Oh, and the Valpurgis night it was very dissapointing. The dancers were dressed in small black latex and it was very modern. Actually it didn't have nothing with the meaning of Valpurgis night. It was the worst part of Faust instead of the best. Again the directors word. We can't do nothing.

  • I agree with you... I hate when stage directors do not understand a role and they make us do stupid things like this... they always have an explanation for his behavior... (Goethe wanted to be like that???) how can this stage director be so ignorant? : )

  • Bravo Sabina, čestitke za Mimi! Le tako naprej

  • wow!! maravillosa voz!! es el aria mas autèntica que he escuchado!!
