The blonde does appear more "bitchy" than Penny, although still portrays the same sort of role.

However, the dark, drab clothing...so glad they got rid of it! Maybe because they want Sheldon to be more silly and spontaneous and the clothing just doesn't say silly & spontaneous...?

Yeah, this sucks. Even the apartment is shitty. Definitely prefer the direction they did end up going in. Also, in the first episode at the fertility clinic, Leonard says Sheldon is "practically a semi-pro" I think the quote was, at masturbating. This is obviously not the case anymore because he has no need for love, human interaction or any sort of non-innocent contact with himself.
