  • Unfortunately, this is not a man made star. This is a Deuterium-Tritium (D-T) reaction, which does not achieve fusion ignition. It's a fusion reaction that requires more energy than it releases. The only man made device to achieve an exothermic D-T ignition to date is the Hydrogen bomb, because the X-rays are reflected back into the reaction during then primary fission stage, creating extreme pressures which are high, but still not high enough to ignite Protium-Protium reactions (star fusion).
