I'm going to have to agree with the first post here. I've listened a few times before commenting - way too fast. She's bypassing so much of the beauty that the piece offers by rushing it. It ultimately sounds like something a high school student would do to avoid running out of breath. (Given her placement and tone are amazing). It's a shame that an A list performer could misinterpret a piece so badly.
Did anybody notice the G-natural in mes. 22 of the accompaniment? Should be G-flat; the flavor of the harmony changes quite noticeably.

I've always loved Jessye, but...this tempo...so fast...and so aggressive. Ameling and Baldwin are much closer to what's on the page
