congratulations on a superb audio visual experience. very creative and what a fantastic source to utilize! Nina Simone's Sinnerman is ultimate in cool blues. The pop art like presentation reminds me of the brilliant work Maurice Binder used to do for the early James Bond film's opening titles.
Mariah Carey, John Legend's "I used to Love You"; Kirk Franklin's "Looking for You." I know it as the soul clap from musicians and others who know Black music. Otherwise I am looking for more info/background as well. If you find any info, please share!!! (And what do you have against Mariah? She's too fab)
I love this! Thanks. Actually, this is called the 'soul clap' and I have been researching its origins. I am prone to believe that it comes from the Pentecostal Church. So far I have found both Donny hathaway and Mariah Carey to have recorded it. Any ideas?
it's called Sinnerman, on Nina Simone's album Pastel Blues, & probably a few best of's too.. it's well worth checking out - this video is only using one minute out of about 11 glorious ones..!
