Steel bars are the best, they give a minimum profit of 100gp per piece instead of just selling the necessary ores. I buy the ores, smelt the bars and make a huge profit.

well, i think about 650, not shure, but you will need about 5 ring's for that, and i surgest you to mine coal in Varrock South-East and bank (if you mine it yourself)

and after that, smelt it in Al Kharid if you are F2P, member furnace is best in Edgeville (Varrock Archievement Diary)

its called an Ammo mould, its a member thing, but i just had it in my inventory for extra item, because i maybe wanted to smelt c balls from the steel bars

ive got varrock armor 1.. the only problem is I ran out of membership and only bought membership in the first place. with rsgp which is not even legal. so i'm stuck smelting 3.8k bars in al kharid
