I like Shenyang. I have been there for times and prefer to got to Dongbei whenever im in China. I have adopted a Chinese brother(actually he adopted me) Wo Ai Ni Shenyang. Will be going on vacation there very soon. Hope to see you there.

Shenyang is such a beautiful place. I stayed at Shenyang Normal University for a few days...I wish I could have stayed longer.

they have a new botanic garden now...its huge, too me 3 days to go through everything...and i was lucky too for like the 2 weeks i stayed their the sky was blue

The garden expo was HUGE!!! We saw a large portion of it one day, but I was dead tired towards the end of day. We probably walked at least 20 miles that day.

it's true about the shopping...you can buy pretty much whatever you want at 1/12 the price back home (US).

@celticagent True. But the problem is when they see someone who they think is American, they assume you have the big bucks. If you can speak the language or are with someone that speaks Manderian and shop at, ie, Y-Market--which is near Zhong Jie, you can bargin with merchants. But latest news is prices may go up due to curent market conditions there.

Shenyang was the only city I visited on my China trip, and I absolutely loved it. Didn't get a chance to visit some of the places on this clip, but I did get to see the Imperial Palace and I ate at Loa Bian, which was awesome. Great city.. can't wait to go back.
