@DanLetts97 also where (here on YT look up "John Bonham Moby Dick") John got some ideas from, though he couldn't execute them too well at the beginning of the aforementioned solo.
This is one of true great solos of al time. I play this everyday cause there is just so much you can do with it and it's just fun to play; it's music on the drums. Learn to play this and you'll stand out in almost any company...I love it. Endless possibilities...thats whats so great about it!
Max Roach is not everyone's cup of tea. His style is definitely an acquired taste. But once you acquire said taste, his true genius shows. He is so good.
jonn bonham uses this for part of his moby dick solo.....pretty amazing. obviously all the people listening to this have good taste in music can you all give me some feedback ona a drum compilaitonm video that i made its on my profile and i really need sommem comments on it thanks!!!
thats why im lookin this up! neil peart also plays it in all his solos but in a differnt more difficult form. bass hihat hi hat with single stroke rolls varying from 4-16 its pretty hard and for me alot harder then max roaches idea
@ryan79ryan He's playing triplets, and it can be harder like this without straight linear notes like NP does. Because he counts (1)Bass (2)Hi-hat (3)Rest.
Max made the drums SING.

You can see where Bruford gets his sound.
