It is an actual mechanic in the game. The air support will figure out who to kill next by: threat factor(what guns that person has in their class that could hurt the air support, eg it will kill a stinger person before it kills an smg guy), leaderboard rank(it will kill people with higher scores before it kills people with lower scores), distance from air support, and if you have attacked the air support. It will only attack if the target has 50% of their body showing.
