haha this was in my engineering physics class, we actually thought it was real at first and we were speechless but then we found out it was fake like the next day. He has been my all time favorite professor.
Staged act to make a point? Or Domestic Terrorism?
•the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear
Actually, it wasn't a student's laptop. It was an old laptop that the it department no longer needed. Also, several grad students were involved in *cough* videotaping *cough* it. Plus, he's a physics professor. Liquid nitrogen was a natural choice. *snickers* ^^
I was in this class when it happened. It was staged. The "student" who owned the laptop was a planted person, and the laptop was already nonfunctional. Of course, none of the regular students knew beforehand what was going to happen. This professor is one of the best at teaching students material, so perhaps you want to retract that statement about kicking his a**
