When I was younger, we always used to pass by a van on the street that had a Led Zeppelin IV mural painted on the side, which i thought was mighty cool. It was the picture from the inside record sleeve of the man holding the lantern. I remember another van in the neighborhood that had a star shaped window toward the back, and I think it had the name "Starship" printed somewhere on the side. The young ones today don't even know what they are missing.

I drove a '79 G20 for a while. I was the last driver before it left the family with dying transmission. Vans are the shit. Specifically the G20 type. I like the feeling. You feel like you are in your own world in a conversion van. Someday I hope to buy a new conversion van.

Because of vanners like myself and others that became part of the trend back in seventies you now have the modern day "Conversion Van. My last full custom van was a 1979 Ford 150. It's still on the road today after I sold it to some friends of mine about 15 years ago.

Certainly not the Van Movement that once existed but there are pockets of enthusiasts around the country and globe that are trying to keep the interest alive.
