I used to have most of them, The S-50 has too little memory but some sound of the original library are used by Depeche Mode. The JP-8080 is greate but I hate the "goa trance" texture, I had it twice and twice I sold it.
Regarding the demo of th 990... Roland always had that "Chick Korea wannabe target" kind of demos. The person who wrote them had no idea what the 990 was about.
Lucky you! Nice brother. I'm in a process of getting a d-550, PG-1000 as well as a JD990. I already own a JV-2080 and I love it. Great way of making music. :-)
This factory demo and created by Roland! Not me! I have only a limited record and make a video to make it listen to those who do not have a JD990 !!!!!!!!
I agree, most Roland and Korg demos are utterly tosh! Its like they're trying to recreate real instruments on a synth, when its supposed to be about creativity, not replication! Its irritating to try to figure out how a synth will sound based off of crappy demos.
i love this pad machine....one of the greatest classics i ever programmed.....
it sounds even better than the legendary jd800 cause it has new functions like sync / new filters / waveforms / panning of each tone (very important for interesting stereo sounds) and the expanded modulation possibilities....
cool synth guitar even better than jd800

I actually like the demo songs, since they really show what this baby can do..
Thanks again :)

@SoundsOfRevolution
maybe so, but it doesn't have the AMAZIN interface that the 800 has...and that makes a world of difference!!

Roland factory demos are always great!
I love the pad sound on 1.45
For me are the JD-800/JD990 the last great synths from Roland.
thanks for posting
