  • It is similar cause' high sound.. up to C :)

  • It is very similar to a folk music from Portugal, it probably has the same origin, check it out here (old video from the 1960's) on youtube: watch?v=AbLCKVSOecA

We call it "Cantiga do Bombo" (something like Bass Drum Song), always played with a transversal handmade flute and huge bass drums. It has lyrics.

Another version, played by a local luthier: watch?v=kBwbVyXz1i0

  • ez nem gyedoi? hasonul ám.

  • Az Isten éltesse drága bátyám!

  • The dance/tune is russyn/romanian/hungarian... etc, what does it mean??? Very boring contest. This one is used by more ethnic groups in Moldova, Transylvania, Ukraina... that's the essence. Enjoy it, if you can.

  • A felcsíkiak meg az ún "orosz zsukát" járják erre a dallamra, ami a kozák táncokkal hozható összefüggésbe.

"Az orosz zsuka egyetlen kísérődarabja, mint neve is mutatja, orosz eredetű tulajdonképpeni hangszeres dallam. A Kárpát-medencében több helyen is ismert, gyakran ugyancsak orosz tánc, vagy hasonló néven."

    (Szalay Zoltán: Csíkszentdomokos tánczenéje)

  • Gopak :) ukrainian folk dance

  • Could you explain? Have you heard the same melody played in Ukraine, or does it only remind you of that?

  • "Ruszaszka" is some kind of interpretation of Gopak. "Ruszaszka" is mean Rusin tune, isn´t it?

  • so this song is russyn??

  • No it is romanian from Moldova area!!!

  • Gyönyörű!
