On crosswind days, the trees help, just dive below the tree line and the wind is not an issue. The trees also give a really good reference. You should see my botched landings at wide open airports! Where's the ground?!
My primary training was done out of a strip that was 30 feet of asphalt wide with some grass to each side, and 2100 feet long with obstacles at both ends. So I kind of enjoy strips like this.
Nice flying, i'm sure all of us on our PPL journey wish to do this kind of flying at least once!

I feel like that might be easy because the trees would block the wind so you have a straight in.

I trust your fuel gauge does not work or you are flying on empty! Nice landing.

@pahoskins we have an aeronca chief too, and the fuel gauge isn't always accurate, and has a bad habit of not working sometimes
