When I was in Pulau Bidong in the early 80s, the camp administration used to play this song when people are leaving camp for Kuala Lumpur or Sungei Besey (spelling?) and another camp for those who choose Canada. Those who left camp in the Black Gold may not have experienced this event.

@vinhyersin yes. also there was another song that would be played as the sun was setting to mark the end of the day. do you know where i would be able to find that song? or what it is called? i believe the song is about two friends leaving and promising to meet again. it was in the context that the "friend" is vietnam. i only wish my vietnamese is good enough to translate or spell it out.
