russian version is the only one. come on, Anastacia is a russian princess:) and this story of Anastacia makes me forget about her real story. I'm Russian btw
wow. I'm always a fan of Polish and French dubbing, sometimes Czech or Slovak, but here... wow this is the most beautiful version of this song I've ever heard.
im russian & i hate communists and his devils lider - lenin!!! They killed great country, whose we never back retern :_( im crying.............................
I might sound corny as hell, but this song kinda bring tears to my eyes. It makes me remember my boyfriend, who's russian. Been a long time together and till the day never let me down. I hope it remains that way forever but of course God only knows.. Aside from that, that beautiful but also haunting scenery, those russian palaces; every little girl's dream, innit? :):)
@Snowball502 As long as he stays FAR AWAY from me when he gets in his creepy (and chair destroing) mood with his pipe, I think I can survive for a while. Wait, if I become one with Russia, can I meet Belarus and Poland? Cause they are pretty hilarious!
@Tumealicious21 yes, it is.. the history was in moscau .. but the original language from this film is in english ´cause honestly.. if u don´t go to UK or USA u haven´t so much posibilities to have a great exit.. sorry do u understand me? im spanish.. and i don´t speak so good english;)
My father bought this movie for me when I was little because it is my name as well. I have loved it since then! I must say this version is so much prettier than English...
it sounds really beautiful. i want to learn russian since i am about 6 years old. i'm 17 now but i don't give up. one day i will learn it. i love this movie. the music is overwhelming! my heart feels so warm when i hear all the high voices together! 3
I Love the Film..but i also know about the history from Anastasia. It's hard and very sad.The reallife also has'nt a good end...oso my daughter i give her the same Name, Anastsia...in memory of the youngster Daughter from the last Zar...sorry for my bad english ^^
it makes me sad that our american schools never taught us about the soviet union or russia. i personally think its because of the after effects of the cold war. give it time . im sure united states will come around.
@louie111887 At my high school there is a Russian History course, but ya ur right, most of the history courses, like World History, skim over the Soviet Union, its never really taught in depth.
@TheSchokiMuffins Depending on what kind of classes one takes in high school (regular or advanced), and the quality of the teacher, we do learn about other countries. However, no one country's history really stands out or is emphasized over another.
@TheSchokiMuffins (cont'd from below) I think the biggest reason that Americans know little history about the world is not because of the school system, but because many of us believe subconsciously that there is no need to learn anything about other cultures, because "we live in America and America is the best country EVAR." It is a shame.
@littlemissmarina we must forget about countries, we are talking about human history, after all, aren't we humans? we should erase borders, physical, mental, and borders in our heart. If some day, we do this, we will truly be humans, we will be one, war will be over, and love will be the supreme law. what a wonderful world this could be, if just, for a little bit, we let our hearts beat at the same time, along with the earth, and the animals.
@130cookies Now is not the time for Hetalia Jokes. Even though I am a Hetalia fan since 2007, comparing nearly everything and a movie to Hetalia is just a bit overboard
Nevím proč, ale u tohohle filmu jsem brečela. A hodně. Romanovci byli povražděni, do jednoho. A anastasia...o té se nic neví. Díky Romanovcům na tom bylo Rusko poměrně dobře. Pak přišla revoluce a bum...komunismus, stalin, lenin...Romanovců je mi líto...a hodně..
THUMBS UP IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND ME :D (google translate, czech (čeština) )
@MaryMustangFMA ...Russia was quite good? I'm sorry but Nicholas was not a good ruler. That's why the revolution occurred and succeeded. I mean, it IS sad what happened to them but Nicholas just did not know what to do. His people were illiterate, the economy was bad, he just wasn't the right kind of guy to be Tsar. Lenin was actually a very good ruler and helped Russia get on its feet a bit. Then Stalin fucked some stuff up and that's where the Soviet Russia stereotypes came from
@MaryMustangFMA Oh and btw (i'm not trying to be a know-it-all or anything :( ) Communism itself is a wonderful thing. The very idea of everyone being totally equal and there being no class system and everyone having a job is fantastic. It's just that communism and socialism have received terrible reputations because of bad or violent rulers like Stalin, Mao, Kim Jong, Castro, etc. Everyone thinks of communism as a terrible thing, but in many ways, it's way better than capitalism
@KurayamiSuna You made a good point. That´s my opinion as well. I think it´s scary how many (russian) people want the Soviet Union back or praise Stalin...I think monarchy isn´t a good thing to begin with. Lenin was good, yes but Stalin was just bad...
I'd rather translate "в зимний вечер" as "one winter evening", not night. Also, last few lines would be more legible and clear if they were written as one or in quotes, I believe. I mean, like that:

@valsconok Actually as a non-russian I can't watch this movie due the real story of the Revolution and the Civil War being so tragic. Aside from that this particular version of the song in Russian is quite nice.
@valsconok We have world history in Germany, too :) I think it's mostly because Germany isn't that old and a pretty small country compared to the USA, Canada or Russia :) Nice to hear that it's like that in other countrys, too.
@manicpsychogirl Well... There is this anime called Hetalia and the characters are literally countries. The character Russia says "kolkolkol" as a way to let you know that you are ticking him off. :) Hope this helps!
Russian culture seems very interesting , I think it's rather sad that this country is still suffering the stigma of the ''evil corrupted communist'' propaganda
It's awesome if you understand the English, Russian and German version. :D I have to say I like the Russian and the German one better than the English....
