It looks so easy to do. I want to bonk myself in the head. Duh! Altered art can be done on anything -- including an old phone book. I like the idea of using velcro to hold it shut. I'd like to give something like this to my mom, but she has arthritis so it would be difficult for her to tie the ribbons. I don't wear my wedding rings right now because they need to be re-sized. I'd be devestated if they got stolen. I could put them in a phone book and a burglar would never find them. tfs ~Dera

This is a great idea! I could never think of a good way to reuse a telephone book except to wrap china--I'll definitely be trying this :)
