  • shes just whispering damn

  • Teh pain is there dude. Melancholic.

  • Why would Sinead do this to Junior's song? She actually sounds like she's feeling some serious pain while taking a dump. When people do a cover version, they should aim to make the song better, not worse. This is just dreadful. yeah mi know sey she just a hold a meds a buil a vibes but it nuh mek it.

  • I think i actually have a crush on her... AND IM STRAIGHT! LOL! <3

  • fantastic stuff this recording. Sister Sinead's righteous vibes

  • Surprised to see a couple folk not liking Sineads versions for really ignorant reasons. Do u know she did these song with Sly and Robbie? Does that not give it enuff credence. Oh well, haters gonna hate. This version is all heart. Sorry if you can't hear it.

  • terrible

  • sublime

  • This is Junior Byles/Lee Perry's song. Love Sinead, but, somehow, this song just doesn't say "Sinead' to me. It is a song for a guy with no shoes, a raggedy head, in a room full of ganja smoke, and no thought of tomorrow. Somehow, it is hard for me to imagine a rock superstar pulling off that vibe.

  • @1987Viking Music is UNIVERSAL, Let the REGGAE VIBES transcend its BOUNDARIES.....LUV IT !

  • Tack Josefin du va finast

  • Painful to sit through. Wow that was bad! What does she think she is doing with this track? She wants to show the rasras how hip she is- total fail- embarrassing!

  • @MrRGanja fully agree she has a great voice but this is total tosh

  • qué mujer tan versátil... me encanta. Gracias Sinead!

  • qué mujer tan versátil.. me encanta.

  • used the Shazam app on the song "vampire" from this album when I heard it out in town the other day, when it came up sinead o'connor, I thought it was a mistake, I was shocked when I googled it later and still came up as her. After I listened to the original, I still think hers is great. The same song, but two different sounds.

  • love the Yami Bolo version the best

  • aww im suprised! wow!

  • @ninjaguy3 I like the original better of course, but this version is ok . And I was raised of Jamaican music.

  • ok no

  • I eve hate the original. But that had at least the Black Ark vibe and rhythm. Horrible.

  • umm .. when she have dread?

  • I just searched out the other versions and this is by far the best. So beautiful.

  • this version and the whole album is just beautiful and moving. I wasn't a fan but I heard it in Costa Rica and haven't stopped listening since.

  • Great Cover

  • i guess this re-over version is ok, but nothing like the original junior byles, JAH RASTAFARI, bless up...

  • nic c c e

  • wow this sucks compared to the actual byles/perry version

  • Lee Perry fella

  • Lee Perry and produced it to

  • such emotion! this woman has made me fall in love with reggae in a whole new way! love love love sinead! what a great album!

  • @quixoticpixie Better than AWESOME ;)

  • The earliest (and best) version I know is Junior Byles but I cant say I know for sure hes the writer. Jacob Miller sings a good version too and Lee Perry one is not bad.

  • if you all hear the original than you talk different. Junior Byles - Curly locks

    --enjoy---

  • as i understand it this brilliant song has been covered by quite a few artists. i think Sinead did quite a good job! she has a great voice!

  • GOOD music transcends race, religion and gender. Good music will always find its way to the listener, no matter what the origin of that person is.

  • a totally murdered version

  • Then why bother thinking of it enough to write about it? If more people "murdered" reggae tunes, what a great thing it would be. Really good song from a great album.

  • if you understood the lyrics you would not come out with such a comment.

see does have a great voice but this is just a bad (murdered) version IMHO

  • I'm able to understand written and spoken words. I'm glad you don't make musical, or cultural, rules, or the musical landscape would be dull and the world would be more divided than it is. Reggae artists don't appear to have a problem sharing music.

  • all she is doing is jumping on a musical band wagon,

  • What a cliche. Perhaps she enjoys the music and liked performing it. Reggae has been around a long time. Many artists have been subtly to strongly influenced by its groovin, soulful rhythms. Everyone should hop upon the reggae wagon, and groove their way to happiness. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, he said (since the cliches were already abounding.)

  • Yes sir i fully agree!

  • Sinéad is always great!

  • Imagine this...I'm from Ja grew up hearing these songs on this album for decades and I just finally understand some of the lyrics. It's funny seeing that she from Ireland but I still love these songs all the same.

  • nice song.love it:X

  • amazing!
