The Philadelphia auditions was the longest day of my life i was in about the last 100 people to audition and that was at like 10:45 that nite.... And I agree that there was so much talent there and very little on the first episode oh well it does suck that its all about the entertainment value.

i agree... 2 days of 9 hour lines and some dragqueen with feathers gets on??? and people who can sing, including me get to watch?? i know it's entertainment, but people really do have hopes and dreams that they put out there to get crushed by the "producers"

Since many people are watching and commenting this video that tryed out, I've got one thing to say.

I admire you for even having the courage to sing for them. Yeah, they put through a few bad people to go see the three judges for TV entertainment, to see people that suck big time make a fool of themselves. It's just for the TV audience, don't make anything out of it.

I auditioned here to, i waited for 13 hours and didn't sing till about 7:00. They let so many crazy acts go through it was annoying. But it's a show and need to get ratings. I guess they must've found all the good talent they needed in the other cities, that's why it's good to audition in one of the earlier cities.

Ugh, why did Ryan go to that pre audition...grrr. I didn't say anyone famous on the pre auditions. Only Kimberly Cadwell and that was for TV Guide. Second round I saw Nigel.....big woop. I didn't get the golden ticket to see the 3 judges :(

My daughter was there, too, and she said a lot of people with great voices didn't make it, while people with crazy outfits or plain crazy did! I suggest that the producers call the show NOT an American Idol but the "Craziest Outfit" and air it only on Halloween! I'm disgusted. My heart goes out to all of you really talented people. One more thing. DON'T GIVE UP!!

I was out by 4ish. I'll agree with everyone and say that there was so much talent there.... its amazing to see so much in one area. I hated the fact that if you dressed ridiculous you made it...this show should be about talent/ personality/ and good looks....I'm glad i gave it a shot though and i know that i can sing...this competition shouldn't sway anyone into thinking differently about themselves

Hello from the nose bleed section, by the time they called the second tier, they let only about 1 every hour or so thru, mostly guys. We sang at around 12:30 am on the 28th the judges were done -- nobody got thru by then and nobody got 30 seconds.

yo0 they didnt pick any one dat was good they made me sing 2 songs n still didnt pick me.. they werent lookin 4 talent they were lookin 4 funny..

I cant believe how many people showed up, I was staying at the Best Inn over on Penrose Ave, and there were SO many amazing singers in our hotel, and one of us made it, it was rediculous.

I second that...its crazy that tons of people who could really really sang didnt make it thru. I didnt sing until 5:30ish I was in section 113.

You should've seen the look on her eyes. She was in lala land. Then I heard what over 19000 other people heard,Thank you! You are a really good singer, but sorry your just not what were looking for.They let more people who couldnt sing and dressed up like total idiots than people who can actually sing through.

I will have to say that it was the biggest fluke I have ever seen. They sent everyone that had won previous competitions to get them there home. And they were all really good! I am a pretty good singer. I had the judge smiling as I was singing her Toby Keiths You shouldn't kiss me like this.

Seeing first-hand how many phenomenal singers they didn't put thru (people who could outsing even Aretha-type classics) didn't make it such a hard pill to swallow when they sent over 15,000 of us home. Crazy day! My back hurts so bad today I can't bend over. I'm glad you caught this - thank you!

Oh my gosh, I know. I auditioned with a friend, and she already has a CD out, and they didn't put her through. You could tell that they were looking for a certain type of person. No problem, I'm just hoping it doesn't get deleted!
