Just a random question, but if your chipotle reminded me of Panera Bread for some reason. Do you frequent that magical resturant? If so, what do you like to get? Great video by the way!
This is my favorite holiday movie too, regrettably my parents hate me and rid the house of a VHS player and the VHS Annabel's Wish. When she eats said milk dud/cheese balls and that weird like slurp eating business commences I think that spawned my hatred of hearing people eat. Annabel is the best and I always wanted a little brown cow afterward.
I feel like you should know that when you first started talking about the cheeseballs scene I immediately said aloud, "Nope, wrong, they were totally bon-bons" despite having last seen that movie when I was about seven, and, yeah.
I find it interesting how we make up a lot of memories, just through repetition.
Oh and we post-rationalise the majority of our decisions, because once we reach a decision, we naturally forget how we came to that decision, so when someone asks us why we decided that way, we have to make it up using bits and pieces.
I personally have many memories from my childhood that I'm not sure if they are real or just the product of other people telling me stories about my childhood.
I've never seen that movie, but it looks like it's from the '90s, so I feel like I would enjoy it. My Christmas 2D fave going up was Frosty the Snowman. It gets sad at times, as all children's flicks do, but it's still wonderful and stuff and things.
I have actually seen Abigale's Christmas movie, although in my mind it has mixed with Rudolph and Bambi. I'm sure it's because of that sassy black woman.
I'm so glad other people know about this movie! I thought I was the only one who knew it existed! AND! I love that you have the VHS. I now have to find that things, plug in the VCR, and watch it. I'm going to revert back to my childhood, and I have no regrets.
@DukeofYar From the looks of the comments, it seems like everyone thought they were the only one who knew it existed. Maybe we were all just hipsters as kids and liked this one obscure Christmas movie.
So there's a button on this video to make it snow on the video, but I've gone through my entire subscriptions and this is the only video that there is a snow button on...I'm confused.
That movie was like my favorite movie ever. I used to watch it every year. I completely forgot about it until this video, thank you for reminding me of it!
I have a similar story about Bambi (which I watched so often that my older sister broke the vhs in front of me)...in my memory there is no talking in the movie...I mean I honestly thought that none of the animals spoke even though I had a simultaneous memory of Bambi talking to Thumper. I think I was confused since Bambi doesn't talk at all but all the other animals do.
I watched that every Christmas! :D lol cheese balls. This reminds me that whenever I watch Matilda, there's a part where the parents eat marshmallows on a stick. I always want to eat marshmallows on a stick at that part. I'm not even a huge fan of marshmallows. Subliminal messaging perhaps? Marshmallows is fun to type. Try it...MARSHMALLOWS
Annabelles Wish! Aw, I'd completely forgotten about that movie. Loved it when I was a kid. It was one of the few movies we had in our summer cabin, so I would watch it over and over during rainy summer days. And I live in Denmark by the way, so.. Annabelle's apparently all over the world.
@FrkHoltegaard Wow! Yeah, even upon re-watching it today I expected no one else to know it. It takes place "in a little farm in Tennessee" according to the opening credits so I figured it was something that was only distributed locally.
In Homeward Bound when Sassy has to swim across the river, she says "I have a note" to try and get out of it. For some reason as a kid I thought this was far more scientific and believed it was something Cats had biologically that prevented them from swimming. I asked many an adult about this growing up, pre-google. I still hear my invented definition when I watch it now. Ah, childhood.
