Bald ist wieder Weihnachten... das Weihnachtsoratorium singen sie derzeit ausschnittsweise an der Universität meiner Schwester - sie singt mit und ich wollte mir das mal anhören.
Klingt aber echt gut. Klasse Leistung!

There were no baritones in Bach's day, so he used both voices.
The baritone has the lightness and agility, the bass the lower notes.
I think this voice works well on this, not bursting at the seams at the high tessitura!

The trumpet player is Georg Wolf from Berlin.
Its a live-recording from deecember 1983.
As member of the Kreuzchor had I sung in this concert.

This is indeed the Master Rolf Quinque himself.
I would hazard a guess that he plays on Selmer
Paris model piccolo trumpet.

Yes the CD with Flämig is with Güttler but here on the first trumpet is´nt Güttler
