  • They didn't know it, but the muppets paid tribute to the vaudeville days of the 1920s when Kermit walks out onto the stage to welcome everyone to the show and falls down two steps onto the stage! That's at 1:24 by the way. All hail the muppets!

  • Thog8D He is the sweetest Thing

  • Whoa. That's one big, blue Muppet.

  • I love when the three Human Muppets com out, you can tell their Muppeteers are Muppeteering the one that looks like them; can't ever mistake Frank Oz.

  • 1:25 Heh!

  • Waldorf: Encore! Encore!

Statler: No, not so loud. They may hear yah.

  • i like the big blue monster!

  • @therinotje I used to think he was a big blue dog.

  • Animal you like the theme right

    Oh yea yea!

    No no

    O no no

    LOL

  • The dance with Ballard and Thog is so utterly adorable.

  • Ms. Piggy looks so weird the first season.

  • @fuzzypeachmonkey

Now I've already seen quite many people complain about Piggy and her look in the first seasons, but inspite I thought quite much over it by now, I cannot really understand - it's true, her appearance may hadn't been perfectly coherent by then, but in my opinion her straight hair and her not yet complete "full figure" have something special for theirselves.

  • @AleeraGorvan themselves

  • what's the big blue monster's name

  • thog

  • @AforAcappella thog

  • floyd aint gonna play square...

  • the 3 musicians all look and sound like their puppeteers- Jim henson/Frank Oz the redhead w. glasses/Jerry Nelson. :)

  • at least they have semi-good singing voices

  • One of the episodes that Zoot actually speaks in!!

  • @dharmaseed There's another on U-tube titled "Sax and Violence" where Zoot has a few lines and plays with the Mahna-mahna guy.

  • One of the banjo plays looks like Jim Henson.

  • I'm actually surprised that all the crew members don't have their own Muppet likeness.

  • LOL

  • is that Harvey Fierstein singing the blue monster?

  • It just occurred to me a while ago, but how do you climb in and out of an orchestra pit?

  • I believe they have doors built in the side. If not, just use the stage.

  • It's good that Floyd played bluegrass in addition to hard rock on bass.

  • What does Kermit keep tripping on?

  • I don't know, a banana peel, a loose board?

  • @perualonso I was wondering the same.

  • Who wouldn't love such a big cuddly monster.

  • It's funny that there is a Muppet that's looks exactly like Jim Henson.

  • What's the name of the big blue muppet. He sounds a bit like Wolfman Jack.

  • @mohinderbauer Thog

  • @Bladepaw18 Thank You

  • @mohinderbauer wolfman 'muppet' jack

  • @LFirstbasema Can you tell me who he is?

  • @LFirstbasema It's Jim Henson, Jerry Nelson and Frank Oz in the back on the bass fiddle. :)

  • Comment removed

  • That dress is horrid.

  • Yes, as if she was pregnant.... lol But it fits to the monster's massive body. gg

  • true... - What's the name of this very big blue monster?

  • TamTheHamster: He's known as Thog.

  • wich ep has that blue monster in the circus as a beast

  • The Harvey Korman episode.

  • my compiter keeps freezing!! f*** it!

  • So after 22 episodes Floyd, Zoot, Animal and the trumpeter can't take the theme song anymore? I can understand that, but why is Dr. Teeth featured and why not Harry?

  • It was just a gimmick for this one episode. We know they come back for the others.

  • Love the line of chorus girls! If you notice, Janice is one of them! She's wearing a brown wig! :)

  • isn't that frank oz in the opening number?

  • On the bass? Yeah sure looks like him, along with Jim Henson on the lead vocal

  • And Jerry Nelson on gee-tar.

  • And Jerry Nelson.

  • @jtrouveroy Yeah, the country trio was made of Muppets resembling their performers. In this case, jim Henson on banjo, Jerry Nelson on guitar and Frank Oz on bass.

  • Okay, this is been bothering me: what is with the dress Kaye is wearing when she's dancing with Thog?

  • It resembles a cupcake.

  • Oh, it does.

  • I was thinking more along the lines of 'lampshade.'

  • See you next fall!
