all you have to do is think of an ollie, and make sure you get that front foot going straight in front of you and not following the board in an upward position! remember, the front foot is suppose to make your board straight! keep practicing dude! :)
@chippyalf pretty much, just remember to force your foot to go straight and hit the board, not follow the board, that's why it rockets like in the video, if you watch it again, you can see your foot following the board motion, which is why it rockets!
Hey try flicking it like an ollie to make it even higher and let ur front foot hang infront of the nose so ur board will have time to turn and another thing put ur front foot position like and ollie but slightly angle not too much angle,it will help u get more control of ur board and it will make it easier for down stuff:)remember flick it straight up!not to the side!

@chippyalf what he's saying is after you flick keep your front foot out. Until the flip is finished. I have no idea if that'd help because i've never had this problem with my kickflips so i have no advice. Sorry man :/
