@ midatlanticcycle - no offence taken, after sending the comment i actually thought "probably just a different (and humorous) way of saying "WOW!"
(americans in a german course once asked me, "what's the thinnest book in the library?" i:?!? and them: "AUSTRIAN HUMOUR!" i found this quite unfunny, of course, but probably they were right...?)
there a wave coming right before i head home first there will be warning a heart palpatation leave if you choose to stay tha's on you but you may end up in the psych unit. the first wave will come 10 minutes before i leave and subsequent waves will follow every five minutes along with the waves there going to be something in the air you will get the same warning once you come within a mile radius of my presence. it's a epileptic attack for road bound eyes and panic attack for sky eyes.
@midatlanticcycle i am not french but this is not a nice thing to say - you must be german or japanese then, because apart from these two: which other nation does build "a decent car"?! (and no, i am not german nor japanese either) - but re-reading your comment i suppose i am just unable to properly appreciate real admiration...?
@MrVelorowdy my apologies. i'm american and we don't like offending anybody. i guess i should have just asked how in the world was this light house ever built on that bed of rockpile. not meaning to make fun of anyone.
After watching for about 2 minutes thinking about the lighthouse crew, I suddenly realised that it was being filmed from a helicopter. In that wind. Bloody hell, that pilot's got some balls!
mega kudos to those staying in the lighthouses..thats if they are manned...and even more to the heli pilots filming it!!!...some steady rollers coming in there too

@chodewarriors1123 That is an awesome concept. Who knows what marine life could be right there in front of us, which may contain the cure for cancer, AIDS, diabetes, Alzeheimer's Disease, etc. We just haven't discovered it (or them) yet. At the rate we're polluting and destroying things on this planet, we may not have the chance to find out either. So much for my soap box... Thanks for your kind response.
@TheMorenita2010 There isn't a lighthouse keeper on the Phare de Tévennec lighthouse - it was automated in 1910 and only maintenance crews visit it these days (in fair weather). According to legend, the lighthouse was reckoned to be cursed back in the old days and crews that stayed there either went mad or died of violent deaths. It is a very dangerous stretch of water, given to 6 knot spring currents - suicide to cross at night.
There is enough energy in just one of those waves to power a city like Paris for an hour. Can you imagine the forces at work here. Well done French Folks, you took on Nature and won.
@Nexigen92 The wave is being broken by the rock underneath the tower so about 70% of the force is being taken by the rock and the angle of the tower is that so the other 30% is dispersed that way.......There's some engineering involved in these beutiful towers.
....pero de pie.... como un faro.... un buen video para inspirarse y para demostrarte que aunque el agua te llegue hasta el cuello, no te rajes y mantente firme, como un faro

Not FRANCE, it's BRITANNY (We are in France but we feel breton). This towers was built in XIX century, and it takes 14 years for buid it, it's amazing ! It was certainly a very difficult job to keep the lighthouse.
@BroBZH Crétin va, c'est bon arrête ton char (le "not france, it's brittany"). Je suis moi-même Breton, du Penn ar bed en plus, mais nous sommes aussi Français, le premier n'excluant pas le second ! Restons soudés entre Français, tout en maintenant nos spécificités régionales. SORRY FOR NON-FRENCH SPEAKERS... but I had to tell smthg to BroBZH...
It makes me wonder how they ever were able to build those things in the first place. With the amount of time it takes to build it would seem to the foundations could be washed away.
All the video takes place in BRetagne (France) i know that cuz i live in Bretagne and this kind of weather condition are incredibe to see (to sea ? lol), to hear.. Its just like armagedon but love it!!! :D
@yowpete : Stupid moron! Actually the only war we almost lost was WW2 ! You american actually never won a single war ! Learn your fucking history ! I'm french and i would be glad to kick your ass! You dumb FuK

@chadman2115 If you're being serious, they were put there to keep ships from running up on the rocks.
