It could be done with a double lift but then you have to take the 1st queen and switch it with 2nd ace on the bottom of the deck. with triple lift you can just do a top change. That is what makes blaine's performance of this trick so great. The top change he does is amazingly smooth!! He blocks it from the camera and from smith.

Agreed. The move at 0:52 is where you pick up two cards, the Spade being on top and the Diamond being on bottom. When he flips them over, he flips 2 cards over, but when he hands him the car, he's handing him the top card, the spade.
This trick is all about distracting the person and making them think you've done something fishy with their card in hand. Pretty amusing trick when you see reactions!

At 0:52 he switches the heart for the spade, and at 0:57 he switches the diamond for the club.
And for whoever gave me a -1 for my previous comment, watch it again. The diamond was "supposed to be" on top.
