Ball, as the co=founder of Dada said its about perception and criticism of the times we live in. Tzara put a nihilist slant on it and some of the others added a nonsensical topping that is largely taken as Dada. In fact the nonsensical and nihilistic side has been pretty much been explored to the full in art. Now its time to get back to Dadaism along Balls lines... perception and criticism of our times. Perception and protest in art must surface again against its repression by the establishment.
yes I think there is hope for ruby encrusted lobsters to find liberation in globular bing bong, but it requires many different petro dollars and a good pair of used rubber gloves [for proper application].
@MatthiasSomers DADA is ANTI ART as its purpose was to ridicule what its participants considered to be the meaninglessness of the modern world. It was a reaction to the ridiculousness of World War One 1916. And even now it has become so much more than that.
@vaza77 so its anti-art thats not supposed to be art but ends up being art even though it's not art. What the fuck drugs do you people take? Why don't you pass them to me?
@MatthiasSomers I will leave this rant with the oxford definition: ART ~ "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power." art is everywhere and can be basically anything. Deal with it however you will ...
@vaza77 Maybe that's why I carefully said: "to ME... This isn't art at all"? (-> own opinion) I don't see the problem nor the reason for preaching like that. ;) Anyway, you guys can like dada as much as you want, enjoy!

Hugo seems to be camera shy. He keeps looking at the floor when he talks.

@vaza77 There is a new Dada, London Dada. We are kick stARTing the new millenium.
Moral protest and perception. Just as in 1916, when the art world changes the world will change.
