  • Now now all you kids who are arguing stop it now or you will not get any pocket money this weekend. Both Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O'Sullivan are snooker legends. Snooker has changed a lot since Steve Davis, who is another legend, dominated the 1980's and Stephen Hendry Dominated the 1990's. Ronnie O'Sullivan has been and still is the the biggest box office draw in snooker for at least the last 15 years just like Alex Higgins and Jimmy White were in their day. Ronnie at his best is the best.

  • Doherty and Williams are my 2 favourite players of all time. Had the pleasure to meet both of them on seperate occasions and they were both absolutely sound blokes, especially Ken!

  • loads of antifanboys here I see you guys are shit ronnie has more talent in the point of his finger than all the potencial you guys could achieved if you played the game from an early age

  • Ronnie is such a winger, give us a rest dickhead, fair play to the decent players higgins doherty judd and so on, get a life Ronnie.

  • How I would love to see Williams win it again

  • Why did you skip williams 2000? You could have skiped Ebdon intead

  • very very nice video.......... I wonder why the hell video has got less views.

Hoping to see 2004-10........... go for it man... :)

  • Was that bird O'sullivans girlfriend or sister ? i forget now.Anyway i would love to fuck her AND his mother at the same time but i'd keep on fucking the younger one !

  • pause at .52 to see higgins take a brown envelope.

  • 2000?

  • ding go go go

  • Snooker: The gentlemen´s sport...

But actually I liked reading your discussion, though I have to tell you, that you´re both wrong. Neither Stephen nor Ronnie is the most naturally talented player of all time. It is (drums...............): Franz Beckenbauer ! A real pitty he doesn´t play snooker so he can´t know about it. The second most gifted might be Alex Higgins ? No technique but potting everything seems like talent...

  • ha shut up mate! but yh ronnie n alex gotta be the most naturally talented!

  • why did you skip 2000, Mark Williams?

  • lol you need some anger management buddy

  • Sorry, but he definitely is not "one of the best ever". With the exception of Doherty, the other 4 have won around the mark of 20 ranking titles(36 for Hendry) compared to Ebdons paltry 8, and 3 non ranking events, again the others winning close to 20 nonranking( again hendry 36). The exception to the rule ,doherty only 6 ranking, 12 nonranking titles(accumitively more than ebdon), is that it has been stated time and again, by just about every expert, that doherty was a gross underachiever.

  • I won't lie, but this is no reflection on what I believe, but I really can't stand Ebdon, for so so many reasons. His whole style of play, what he did with ronnie, and how he broke into tears like a little girl afterwards when being questioned about the sportsmanship of his tactic. Thats just the tip of the iceberg on why I dislike him. And the previous message is just the tip of the tip of the iceberg on why I do not regard him as a great player.

  • the 1999 steven hendry win, was IMO the best display of snooker

  • I guess you haven´t seen O´Sullivan in 2004 and 2008 - no better Snooker than that!

  • no, that's not tue. Ronnies greatest is no better than Hendrys greatest. Something lots of objective experts have commented. More than once I have heard Ronnie claim that Hendry is the greatest snooker player ever. High praise after the animosity RO created between them earlier in his career. I don't know how sincere he is with statements like that, but I have no doubt, that nobody is playing better Snooker than Hendy was in his prime. NO doubt at all.

  • yeah so what Ronnie called Hendry the best? Is he supposed to call himself the best ever? Yeah I wanna see the reaction of the people then.....and by the way almost every player has called Ronnie the best ever ;-)

it its not so much about he greatest ever - Ronnie is the most talented ever - when his mind is straight and he is on a roll there is nobody stopping him.

I mean take his WC matches against Hendry in 2004 and 2008....Ronnie kicked his ass

  • Every player has called Hendry the best ever, and before that every play called Davis the best ever. I believe in WC matches Hendry is leading ronnie 3 - 2 I believe ronnie is a magnificent player, but that whose most natural talent you ronnie fans throw about is absurd. Ronnie had to practice every day to be as good as he is, the same as hendry. Ronnies kicked Hendrys ass, when Hendry was somewhat passed it, passed his peak, lacking the desire that made him the greatest. I know Snooker.

  • Ronnies best snooker, is not greater or better than Hendrys best. Hendry in his prime once beat ronnie 10 - 9, on the last nerve jangly frame, Hendry knocked in a 147. Think about that for a second, score 9 - 9. Everbody was saying ronnie was the new superstar, he was going to take hendrys place, and be the greatest player of all time. Hendrys response was to knock in a 147(in a final) in the deciding frame. When Hendry had the hunger to win, he knew no fear. And he won so much and so often.

  • oh sorry i didnt know that you where the godfather of snooker - lmao

so Hendry was past his prime?? - hmm wasnt he the world number one in 2006/07

    yeah you really know snooker

und what has practice to do with natural ability? of course Ronnie has to practice but guess what - David Grey practices just as much - still he is No. 65 and Ronnie No.1 - i wonder why....

  • And Hendry? he doesnt have the same 'natural ability' that ronnie has? You're an idiot if you don't understand how the rankings work. Hendry won very few tournaments but he got to a few finals and semis, and the other contenders played poor, as well as a dozen other factors. A prime Hendry would never have lost to a shcmuck like Ebdon in the wc final in 02. Also, Ronnie is number 1 because there are very few real great players around, check the top 20, besides the greats like hendry, higgins, etc

  • the rest of the players have won a couple of tournaments. The average snooker players are better today than in the past, but the 'greats' have never surpassed the level of snooker Hendry played at peak form. And there are no new greats, theres ronnie who is inferior to both hendry and higgins because he lacks the mental strength they have. He's still a phenominal player. There are lots of little anecdotes. One of them being, the players on the circuit know the best way to beat RO is to get ahead

  • early, because once you're ahead, ronnie starts to doubt himself, and he makes mistakes. It works the other way too, when he gets in front, his confidence can grow, and he hardly misses, but even then, there is still that big flaw. The type of flaw that cunts like Ebdon overabuse when playing him. By the way, you seem to be the typical completely subjective irrational ronnie fan, the sort of sycophant that he would hate, tha reading your clueless comments would make him depressed.

  • @adronias also don't forget ronnie even quit in a match against Hendry. Very unprofessional. Hendry still has the better record than Ronnie .Anyone who wins the worlds is a great player but Hendry I consider as one of the best as well as Davis in his time

  • yeah they´re all losers in the top 20 - Maguire, Murphy, Selby, Robertson, Junhui, Ebdon, etc. - my god why even watch snooker when there are only losers around? lol

hey and if you try to mess with somebody because he calls Ronnie the mos naturally talented player, why dont you mess with Hendry.....or Steve Davis, or Dennis Taylor, or John Higgins, or Jimmy White, or Ray Reardon, etc. etc. - but what do they know right? after all its YOU that knows snooker ;-)

  • What sort of response is this? Great rebuttal 3Rider. I think ronnie is immense, however all(in my experience, obviously not ALL all) the ronnnie fans put down the other great players, make derogatory remarks about them, and claim they are nowhere near as talented as the great one. Most often Hendry, williams, higgins, sometimes Davis. Wait a second, are you claiming these players have said this about Ronnie? Utter bullshit, stop using wikipedia because it is littered with half truths and lies.

  • well i guess youre just too smart for me ;-)

hmm i wonder how you can "know sooker" without having seen one of the dozens of onterviews where all the listed players have called Ronnie the most talented player ever...

and i never called Hendry a loser - i never called Davis a loser or any other player - Ronnie is just more naturally talented i cant change that and you cant change that as well

  • Earlier you claimed that when RO said Hendry was the greatest player ever, it was obviously because he was never going to say himself, but now when its reversed, its different? Get a clue. You have no idea what you are talking about, have no proof of your claims, and are completely ignorant of human nature. Hendry has never said that Ronnie was more talented than hm. He specifically stated that no player, including RO, has surpassed the heights he reached when he was playing his best snooker.

  • strange - I´ve seen at least 2 interviews where Hendry said just that....

but anyways - I´ve tried to have a discussion - youre just vulgar and offensive - therefore: the discussion is over

and if Hendry is the undisputed King of Snooker - why do you have to fight like this to get that opinion across? ;-)

    bye

  • @KCRyder ur havin a laugh??? when it comes to alltime best, hendry is the king of it, he dominate a decade, o'sullivan never dominated just had a lot of hype surrounded by him. plus o sullivan started his career in 1991, it took him 11 years to win a world title whilst hendry did that at age 20.

  • @chof0319 and robert horry won more nba championships than michael jordan......i guess that makes him the best of all time....

  • @KCRyder its about consistancy, hendry was like federer is in tennis, completely unplayer at his peak, no cud play him of the table becaus he was that gud, its not just he won trophies but his allround ability like highest no of 147, record in hsaving done most centuries, havin won most rankin titles, scoring 147 in a final of deciding frame, and he was the one who intorudced break building and attacking play some todays plays play like, he changed the modern snooker of how its played;

  • @chof0319 why do u think a player nowadays who starts doin, media starts bringing hendry's name, 10 years time hendry wud still be the talk of snooker. those who talk crap about hendry never watched snooker or weren't bron.

  • @chof0319 yeah but who did he dominate? nowadays there are 20 players more or less at the top level. back in the 90s there were maybe 3....

  • @KCRyder thats because no one has been as talented as hendry to dominate the game after him, if hendry was the same age during 90s in 2000, he wud of still dominated like roger federer dominated tennis.

  • @chof0319 pure speculation

besides: anytime Ronnie`s head was straight he kicked everybody`s ass including hendry....

  • @KCRyder ronnie started beating hendry when hendry was well pass his best and achieved everything and tag of greatest snooker player of alltime. ronnie needed to still needed to prove himself, so beating hendry who was past his peak isn't a great achievement which is forgotten matches, the one where hendry beat o sullivan by scoring 147 in the deciding frame of uk champion ship final is still one of most memorable of snooker.

  • @chof0319 only in your memory.

Ronnie beat Hendry WC 2004 - memorable match - why? try 17-4

Ronnie beat Hendry WC 2008 - memorabe match - why? try 17-6 - plus Hendry said that was the best anyone has EVER played against him

  • @KCRyder All this "ronnie isn't bothered about the game" and "he'd win more titles if his head was on straight" are just petty excuse's for his lack of proffesional consistency and ability to live up to this "most naturally gifted genius" hype bullshit we hear every fucking year. If he is/was such "the greatest player ever to pick up a pool cue", then he should be winning title's all over the place, no matter what the standards are/were. Hendry is the true legend whose record prove's this FACT.

  • @KCRyder sulliavan is a good player but to be the best u need to show proof of achievement, sullivan bnever dominated an era like hendry did at its peak, that by far makes him the greatest ever snooker player

  • Doherty, higgins, hendry, o'sullivan and williams, all great champions.. but Ebdon.. jesus, something was seriously amiss that year.

  • Didn't realize Doherty made it to 3 finals. No slouch.

  • at the 03 final was a good match

  • John Higgins is for me a fine and a great Snooker champion.

  • williams vs doherty in 2003, my god that was a good final

  • i have never seen the 2000 final when mark williams plays stevens!!!!

  • that was a great final, stevens led 14-8 i think but lost 18-16 to williams.

  • The champion of 2000 was also Mark Williams

  • and 2000?

  • Sorry, no 2000, I'm afraid.
