  • pure rubbish!! crap!!

  • Mr Lockwood was an amazing talent. Blues and American music would not have been the same without him. He was a true legend. I was fortunate to see him many times.

  • Mr. Lockwood was far ahead of his time!

  • Geno Schwartz on bass

  • Dr. Robert Lockwood Jr. is named after his father, Robert Lockwood. The Robert Jr. was used as a reference to him being the stepson and guitar protege of Robert Johnson by musicians of the Delta Days in the 30's and 40's. It's a shame you should allow your ignorance to show in a public forum. Peace

  • That's Robert Junior Lockwood. It's a shame that a Clevelander can't even get it right.

  • Used to catch Robert at The Brothers Lounge on Detroit Ave. near West 117th St. back in the day. Shared a drink or two with him and talked blues for a while. If you sat down with Robert and DIDN'T know the blues, he wouldn't hesitate to let you know about your poverty of knowledge, as a few hapless lads found out! LOL God I miss him!!

  • talk about a man with a sense of hyperbole!

  • Very talented guitarist, very jazzy and melodic. Definitely a joy to listen to and see in this video.

  • I saw him play live back in the early 70's in JPN. And this video was taken in 2005 on his 90th birthday. 90yrs of age! Unbelievable! Well, playing the blues must be as natural to him as breathing. Thanks a lot for sharing this rare footage.
