They'll jack the prices up as much as they can in anticipation of the fact that the go't will undercut their rates when the bill is passed! The bill gives Insurance companies billions of tax dollars (your money) in subsidies for uninsured. There are new taxes on medical procedures and devices that will had to higher cost and premiums. It has 159 new agencies and programs the taxpayer will be on the hook to pay for forever. It cuts medicare but expands medicaid. Tell me how it reduces premiums? It doesn't!

There is nothing in the bill to allow free trade or insurance companies to sell across state lines, etc. By government rule only 9 of 1,000 companies are allowed to sell health insurance in Ca. What do you think would happen if all 1,000 were allowed to compete if the government would allow it? Prices down, more options, etc. Government is the problem

... and considering that I can send a letter from rural Florida to rural Alaska for $0.44, I don't think the Postal Service (which handled 200 billion items per year) is a very good example of government run amuck.
