He wanted to be a hero because he lost 30,000+ marines in CoD4 (5 years ago)

No, no, i know what you mean. I didnt like that much either. But think about it... Treyarch has copied Infinity Ward almost every time. (ex: CoD4's multiplayer was put into WaW. CoD4's engine was taken and used in WaW). NOW not only did Treyarch take MW2's engine... but it ALSO is taking it's multiplayer (again), AND theyre bringing that Russian dude back from WaW to be in Black Ops! Come on! It's... kinda funny though :D

They arent really working together. Makarov used the undercover CIA agent (in the airport scene) to make it look like the Americans shot up the airport. Then Shepard wanted to look like a BIG hero, by saving America. I dont THINK they have a good connection... but it MAY be explained in the next game (MW3)...

First, the games were "ugly" (in the means of simple graphics), but highly playable. A decade ago, games were still ugly, but also dumb and boring. Now, they are dumb, but thrilling and graphically phantastic.
Also yeah the astronaut probably drifted till he ran out of air or starved. Price set it to detonate in space since it was already set to launch because otherwise millions of americans would have died instead of the hand full of astronauts. Tough choice but it's what had to be done. The EMP however still radiated out from the nuke and hit most of the east coast.
Shepard wasn't woeking with Makarov, he wanted to bring him down himself and be the hero of the war so he could rise to power after he'd ended it. The real heros who would have gotten in his way (141) had to be taken out to do so. He got Roach and Ghost but Price and Soap were too bad ass for him to deal with so they killed him for revenge. They're criminals now for it though so i have no idea how the next one will play out, but its gonna be badass.
He MIGHT have been. But I came up with that, because Shepard must have told Makarov that you were American. Thats why Makarov killed you... i could be wrong. But it makes the most since.
no i dont think that shepard was working with Makarov, i think he knew that the CIA operation was blown but sent a guy in anyways hoping that Makarov would do what he did, the only thing i cant figure out is why does he need to kill TF 141?, the only reason i can think of is that price must've found out about him manipulating russia into the war by sending Allen on the CIA operation, then shepard found out and tried to kill price and anyone else he might have told or given info to in TF 141
sheppard kill roach and ghost because he wanted revenge for what happened 5 years ago. when 30 000 of his marines died and no one cared about them. and o ya EMP also destroyed the americans electornic but since the russians where better equiped it made them lose all the machinery.

Price launched a Sea Launched Ballistic Missile or SLBM for short, which is a nuke but he set it to go off in the upper atmosphere, all nukes give off an EMP when they go off its just that not too many people are left around afterward to experience it, so thats why price set it off in the upper atmosphere so that only the EMP would get through and cripple the Russian vehicles
He betray's you because he was working with makarov to start the american invasion, save america, and become a big hero. He kills Roach and ghost because you were about to find out about him working with makarov when you found the files... Thats why he betrays you.
i dont think thats the case because afterwards you see shadow company fighting makarovs men i think he killed you because he wanted to get the credit for makarovs blood

Chances are... if the president didnt get away... he is dead. BUT the game doesnt mention anything about the president, so you'll have to wait 2 years until the next game comes out! :(

Btw, everyone-- Shepard was workin with Makarov because Makarov does anybodys work for money. So Shepard paid makarov to shoot up the airport and placed the CIA agent in. At the same time shepard told makarov that there was an agent. He told makarov to kill the agent and start a war which shepard would stop and look like a hero for. He wanted to be a hero because he lost 30,000+ marines in CoD4 (5 years ago)

But in MW3 when ( SPOILER ) Soap died and Price got up on Yuri about Makarov knowing him, one of his flashbacks was a parking lot under the airport where Makarov's men were holding down Yuri and Makarov came in view and said that he knows that he has told the enemies ( U.S. ) about there plans to invade the Russian airport. Thats when he shot him, and left him to die :D

The storyline in MW2 shows that Call of Duty shouldn't have a storyline or a main character or enemy, or a sequal. It was terribly illogical. US General hired two baffoons to do dirty work then kills them and hires a group of mercenaries to do more dirty work so he can become world leader? It's a sneakier Hitler!

@fhadj MW1 was great, but since they made a sequal it screwed everything up. It's not evel Call of Duty anymore. The "call of duty" on the front of the case is tiny, but they proudly display "MODERN WARFARE 2". It's a whole different series.

No, no, i know what you mean. I didnt like that much either. But think about it... Treyarch has copied Infinity Ward almost every time. (ex: CoD4's multiplayer was put into WaW. CoD4's engine was taken and used in WaW). NOW not only did Treyarch take MW2's engine... but it ALSO is taking it's multiplayer (again), AND theyre bringing that Russian dude back from WaW to be in Black Ops! Come on! It's... kinda funny though :D

@fhadj They share ideas. But isn't Infinity Ward gone from Activision? But I agree. Did you ever notice that Treyarch and Infinity Ward games have different grenade indicators and weapon swap sounds? It's really wierd. I just hope that the final version of Black Ops doesn't have that Blood splatter when you get shot. That got on my nerves!

They arent really working together. Makarov used the undercover CIA agent (in the airport scene) to make it look like the Americans shot up the airport. Then Shepard wanted to look like a BIG hero, by saving America. I dont THINK they have a good connection... but it MAY be explained in the next game (MW3)...

Actually, the TF 141 launches a Nuclear bomb, detonates it in space, and If you didn't know (Not Troll-like) Nukes give off Electro-Magnetic-Pulses (EMP) screws with all things electric.....Too bad after a normal nuke, theres no electronics left :P

wasn't sure who the heck was the man that shot me. first I thought PRICE did it, so at the begining of the next level, I wanted to shoot him too LOL.

The game was awesome.
First, the games were "ugly" (in the means of simple graphics), but highly playable. A decade ago, games were still ugly, but also dumb and boring. Now, they are dumb, but thrilling and graphically phantastic.

Also yeah the astronaut probably drifted till he ran out of air or starved. Price set it to detonate in space since it was already set to launch because otherwise millions of americans would have died instead of the hand full of astronauts. Tough choice but it's what had to be done. The EMP however still radiated out from the nuke and hit most of the east coast.

Shepard wasn't woeking with Makarov, he wanted to bring him down himself and be the hero of the war so he could rise to power after he'd ended it. The real heros who would have gotten in his way (141) had to be taken out to do so. He got Roach and Ghost but Price and Soap were too bad ass for him to deal with so they killed him for revenge. They're criminals now for it though so i have no idea how the next one will play out, but its gonna be badass.

He MIGHT have been. But I came up with that, because Shepard must have told Makarov that you were American. Thats why Makarov killed you... i could be wrong. But it makes the most since.

no i dont think that shepard was working with Makarov, i think he knew that the CIA operation was blown but sent a guy in anyways hoping that Makarov would do what he did, the only thing i cant figure out is why does he need to kill TF 141?, the only reason i can think of is that price must've found out about him manipulating russia into the war by sending Allen on the CIA operation, then shepard found out and tried to kill price and anyone else he might have told or given info to in TF 141

sheppard kill roach and ghost because he wanted revenge for what happened 5 years ago. when 30 000 of his marines died and no one cared about them. and o ya EMP also destroyed the americans electornic but since the russians where better equiped it made them lose all the machinery.

Price launched a Sea Launched Ballistic Missile or SLBM for short, which is a nuke but he set it to go off in the upper atmosphere, all nukes give off an EMP when they go off its just that not too many people are left around afterward to experience it, so thats why price set it off in the upper atmosphere so that only the EMP would get through and cripple the Russian vehicles
