british caledonian was taken over by british airways for the routes. they kept the lion flying for a number of years in the 90's as caledonian a charter airline. the airline was sold to become a inhouse charter airline for a few years. caledonian & flying colours where rebranded to become jmc. which in turn was rebranded to be thomas cook.

Hi! Earlier than you! Flew from the late 70's to the early 80's.....brilliant time! Flew Adam Thomson a few times. He was such a sweetie. There's a BCal website but it needs a little bit of updating and work...it seems a bit hit and miss but could be brilliant...I'm sure there are loads of us out there that would like to meet up :-)
Yes,there should be a tartan re-union!! I only flew for two years for BCal up until the 'merger' (ha ha takeover!!)but had such a great time flying for BCal. The crews had such a great time and were such a laugh. And the routes were great (well most of them,accomodation in Accra was a bit grim at one time!!) and you actually got a decent amount of time down route, not like now.
