I was actually just here last week and it was cold as hell for Florida. But I posted some videos as well of my Canon Vixia HF20 HD camcorder. Canon is great! Your vids look great!
very well done! I love the clarity and how everything is brought to life especially with the fireworks! I hope to get a camera like this someday. Very well done indeed!
We booked a Grand Gathering for that night that included an International Dinner Buffet and then a viewing of Illuminations from a special reserved area. We also taped it from another location a few days before. That's how we got two camera views near the end!
I have a little Canon VIXIA camcorder too, and let me tell you... you'll be blown away by how much better the video is with the 5D. With some tweaks, you can get really saturated colors and great depth-of-field control. But the audio won't be as good. And it won't be interlaced, so it will be a little choppy on a traditional CRT TV. I never have noticed any shutter roll. I've tried some extremely fast panning and seen a little roll, but that was faster than I would ever really pan.
Wow! The video quality of the night time fireworks display is amazing. I can't believe this was shot with an F/4 lens. My 5D mk2 arrives in a few days and I'm hoping the video quality is as good as my Canon HFS100. One question: Do you notice a lot of shutter roll when panning or shooting moving objects?
YouTube takes a while to process HD video. Low quality is available for about an hour, and then HD is available after further processing. The HD option should be available now!
The camera is great for night time filming!!!
