She was played by Lee Meriweather in the movie. The series had Julie Newmar in the role but I believe she working on another movie at the time so they got Meriweather to play the role for the movie. Later on Eartha Kitt also played Catwoman in the series as well.

Actually, Julie Newmar was only on the show once before the movie. At the time, nobody really associated Julie with Catwoman like they'd associate Frank Gorshin with the Riddler or Burgess Meredith with the Penguin, so it really didn't make much of a difference until much later on.
