Pastor Dowell, God Bless you fellow Patriot. I have to warn you the Morgan's could be fake. 20 years ago is 1990 and is not that long ago. Depending on when your friend bought them he could have bought them from somebody who bought during the 1980's when the price of silver was at an all time high (many fakes were rolling around back then). I do the triangle test. Weight (scale), and I use digital calipers (width and height) and all three can't match if it's fake. I'll do a video response soon!

pastordowel, if you watch the video from your article, it actually pretty simple to detect the fake coin. They give u a demo on the sound, and it was 2grams lighter. + if you use a magnet as per articel, it pretty easy to safegaurd yourself.

@yettiz420 They don't. I bought a fake half dollar off e-bay to do the tests myself. The fake coins has no luster. The fake coin feels weird. The fake coin is missing the initials of the name of the coin designer. The width of the fake coin is exactly correct (it must be in order to hide them amongst other coins). The weight of the fake coin is extremely off. A half dollar should be 12.5 grams and I think the fake is 9.7 grams (but to the naked hand it's hard to tell 3g). The fake is too thick

I bought one of those fake pandas on ebay last year. I now only buy junk silver there, and the rest of my bullion is Apmex. There are sites that tell you what to look out for when it comes to China Silver coins, but they make so many different types of panda bullion, that research can take more time than it's worth. I'm just sticking with American coins and bullion.
