  • you checked the oil while the engine was running. If i were to do that then the oil would be everywhere on the dipstick or it wouldnt give me an accureate reading. Is it better to do it with the engine off and after it sat there for a while?

  • @samvivar Well, I started the car to make sure the oil went into the oil filter, because that effects the oil level. I did not check it while the engine was running. It doesn't matter when you check your oil really, just as long as it's been started once after you change your oil.

  • yoo men u rally deserve mi LIKE IT !!!

  • If the oil filler says 5-30, why did u put 10-40? Is 200k miles the reason?

  • @franlum yes that is the reason

  • hey i figure maybe you will know since nobody else i know does. what size oil filter wrench do i need. im probably gonna have to buy one and theres different sizes. the filter is on sooooooo tight.

  • Hi, thanks for the vid. Dont you need to put on a new copper compression washer when putting the plug back in??

    thanks.

  • Thanks for posting, good tips!

  • 1st check the oil then start the engine that's the right order

  • Thanks Bro! Placing the oil cap on the hood clamp (during the oil change) is a great tip. It's basic maintenance but I knew I would learn something new. I did not know about API standards either.
