@theinstinktives Yes you can focus manually in video mode. I don't know about automatic focusing in video mode though. It's becoming more modern now but i don't know if the NEX5 has it.

@Criscocheeseman200 depends, the sony is better for shooting video and takes great pictures but you need to by couple more accessories to make it complete, with the pen it doesn't have the same quality but everything else is included in the package. So quality wise I'd go with the sony nex (which is what I'm saving up for) but price wise I'd go with the olympus pen

@JacoBZ95 get a 550D, you have more options available, and a lot of control over the camera. Plus you have over 60 EF lenses available to you. Keep in mind they are two separate cameras, one being a DSLR and the other being an IL camera.

Typical microphone wind noise unfortunately. When will they learn to put some type of noise dampening material over the mics on the inside of the camera? Or on outside mic ports.

Next time get away from the tree. The focus going out is terrible. Looks like the Olympus E-PL1 still rules in still image quality, from all the comparisons I've seen.

If you're using the built in mic on almost any camera your doing it wrong. HD footage needs HQ sound to complete it. Your not going to get that without an external mic period. Use something like a "Zoom H4n mobile audio recorder " with a wind shield if you really want to make a worth watching HD movie.

I see rolling shutter is noticeable. Are you able to change the exposure and aperture settings during or at least before recording?
