  • Jean, I love you & always have. You bring such joy.

  • No, bloody Madonna is a "diva". Jean Carne is a REAL singer. Such meaningless everyday-camp terms demean her talent IMO.

  • Great music! Wonderful rarity. Turrentine and Jean Carne - what a combination! I didn't know Jean, it's only recently by youtube that I've got to know her. Her CDs seem to be quite seldom. What a pity!

  • Jean Carne is awesome on these vocals !!!!

  • Sweet Classic!!!

  • jeane's vocal stylings always cut a deep groove...

  • This is a great song!

  • I love this song !!!

  • Playing Jean's music always created a great mood in the studio during my on-air radio shifts, back in the day!

  • I remember the very first time I heard this on KUTE 102 the Quiet Storm in Los Angeles (Inglewood) back in the day! I was floored... I couldn't wait to go out to the local Music Plus and buy the album. Man, I used to keep a blank cassette in the tape deck on pause/record all the time just to catch tracks like these - I tip my hat to all the DJ's back in the day who really dug and understood good music.

  • At those were the days when we had Quiet Storm in LA and no reason why not today...never listen to radio anymore because nobody is playing great music like this...miss Jean Carn & this is sublime and music at it's highest level!

  • @ATS68 What a golden time that was. I remember listening to KUTE 102 back then. How about KJLH around '79-'80? A more perfect radio station never existed. What a playlist: Jean Carne, Phyllis Hyman, Norman Conners, Stanley Turrentine, Hank Crawford, etc., etc. How has music fallen so far from those heights?

  • @ATS68 Yes, I agree the LA DJ's , KGFJ, KJLH, KBCA, and KUTE all brought it back in the day. I have friends in the Bay Area who claim I must have heard every good recording between 1969 and 1976. I am grateful to them for making sure I heard great music like this. I couldn't buy all of it at the time and have spent the past 40 years backfilling . YouTube is an enormous aid in helping me recover music from this period. I keep a window open when I'm on YouTube for impromptu music purchases.

  • Great song, I'd love to get this in mp3 download or CD

  • Jean Carne is so smooth, hypnotic and deeply soulful making "Night Breeze" a stunning masterpiece...nobody but Jean can sing like this...Bravo Jean!!!

  • Great song. Got me hooked on Jean's other great works.
