  • that is so cute

  • Hella cute

  • Opussm are related to the koala And this guy shows it.

  • AWWW POSSUMS ARE SO CUTE but evil

  • We kills these and make throws out of them in NZ. They're nearly single handedly destroying our forests and birds.

  • Wow, I want one of the Aussie ones.. I currently have one outside of my window, which is in the basement, looking for vids on safe removal.

  • it must of been scared when u petted it

  • they look like giant chinchillas

  • can you legally own one in the US? Are they generally sweet like this one?

  • wild possums we where i live are ugly and furious looking. as of yet idk any1 that has a possum for pet in my city

  • Comment removed

  • I suspect this possum may have been hand raised or someone was feeding it regularly =] but adorable yes =]

  • shit i want one for a pet now.

  • awwwwwww

  • hey jw, Ive been doing the same thing (feeding my backyard possums) for a while now, and they take the food out of my hand etc. but i havent pat one in ages. when im outside and they come near me i always walk away if i have no food because im scared they might accidentally bite my hand instead? lol would they? or do they just sniff you? I want mine to be that tamed!

    Cute video

  • A great little marsupial...

  • That is not a possum looks more like a kinkajou a small tree dweller. It is nocturnal so the light may be burning his eyes. It is best being taken out at night rather than the day.

  • @darkangel8880 um it is a possum lol, the ones in australia look like this

  • EVEN THERE POSSUMS ARE COOL LOOKS LIKE A LIL KANGAROO

  • i want 1 of those

  • A real cutie, that's for sure!

  • I could watch this all day.

  • im a wildlife carer in Australia and this guy is a common brush-tail possum. beautiful nature if in touch with humans regularly but if you encounter in the wild they have claws and teeth that could rip you to shreds.

  • im a wildlife carer in Australia and this guy is a common brush-tail possum. beautiful nature if in touch with humans regularly but if you encounter in the wild they have claws and teeth that could rip you to shreds.

  • hahahaha a squirrel on steroids is the best comment ever!!! I'm laughing my ass off!! lol Anyway, I just encountered one of them as well and mine just ran away.. I guess he just didn't see food from me

  • Are you sure that, that little animal is a possum? It's not like any possum I have ever seen but maybe they don't have that variety of possum where I live in California?

  • @anaheimdennis Yup, it's the Aussie version of a Possum. The opossums we have back here in the US aren't nearly as cool

  • @pbrinkma It's a very interesting "cool" looking little animal. Were you in Australia or did you bring it home with you or get it here somehow?

  • @anaheimdennis Yeah, this video was from Australia. I wish I could have brought some of these guys back with me!

  • @anaheimdennis That is an Australian possum

  • @anaheimdennis that type of possum lives in Australia i know that and they are very friendly if you get them to trust you and feed them i have one like this :D at my house

  • @anaheimdennis It looks like the common Australian NSW sydney possum. They are very cute.

  • congratulations, you've now just contracted a rare disease, because you have a wildlife fetish.

  • A few year ago i had a skunk like that. Each time i feed her i was afraid she might piss the stinky sauce. But she never did, she was a nice skunk.

You got a very nice wild pet. Just don't try to force your penis inside its mouth, like that idiot did with a raccoon. His dick was bitten off and worst of all he had to get rid of the raccoon.

  • It's so cute! It loves being petted!

  • Is what you're giving it a treat made for possoms specifically or is that some human snack I am seeing there? If you are feeding human food, please stop. It will become unhealthy.

  • Your Gala's also sell for about 2200.00 in the U.S.

Your pest is anothers profit.. weird, huh?

  • These are sold for alot of money in exotic pet stores. They are some type of marsupial subspecies.

  • O.o... I had to look everywhere to find out what this was called. Its a brush tailed possum.

  • I've always wondered... Brissie possums looks different from the typical possums shown in books and stuff. A different type of possum?

Anyway he's too cute. I've seen my share of bold and friendly ones, but never got a chance to get that close..

  • That is a CHINCHILLA

  • i thought possums had gross rat tails... not bushy tails..

  • lol.. Glad I'm not the only 1 that feeds the beautiful possums.. not 2 often.. just occasionally.. we pat ours too & have a mumsy that brings her new babies , usually 3 a year... & all the other siblings visit 2..

watch out tho, cos those claws & teeth can make a nasty bite or scratch, accidently - of course.. lol.. =0)

    luv it !!!

  • little bastard

  • Oh how cute, he's all like "om-nom-nom-nom!" his little feet are all tiny and stuff.

  • where are you located? i hope there is no rabies there. these guys have sharp teeth

  • @mujkocka

There is no rabies in Australia. We have luckily kept that crap out of this beautiful island!

  • I can't believe how cute that animal is ;__;

  • Love the brushtails!!

  • thats so cool.

  • omfg. he's SO CUTE. :3

  • Awww your possums are nice... The ones in America will snap at you in a second.

  • hihihihihihi

  • the australian possum is way cooler than the other types.

  • Huh...I don't know if you should give him sugary foods dude.

  • o.O Ima just assume people have caught and tamed everything at this point. Good grief.

  • thats not a possum

  • @Cmet332

    this is possum in Australia

  • @Cmet332

Yes it is, it's one of the many kinds of Australian possum.

They don't look like the American ones.

  • @Cmet332 yeah it is

  • POSSUM ATTACK at 1:21

  • @XeenWoozy

    LOL

  • why the fuck would you want a possum as a pet!

  • BEHOLD a squirrel on steroids

  • @ADeerHunter1 omg i lol'd for about an hour reading your short comment.

  • U SHOULD KEEP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That possum, and the fact that it's letting you pet it, is the freakiest thing I've ever seen.

  • *opossum

  • its huge, looks like a bigass quirrel

  • so beautiful, nice video!

  • OMG CUTE!! NEW PET INCOMMING!!

  • It's a giant sugar glider! :O

  • LOL we have one that comes around all the time. my Landlord wanted to get rid of it until i showed him your vid now he leaves cat food out and named him Rodney.

  • OMG IT LOOKS LIKE A SUGER GLIDER!

  • Is this a domestic possum or something or is this breed usually nice? The ones that live here will hiss if they even see you.

  • @LaceHearts these were definitely wild possums, they were just being extra friendly because food was involved

  • @LaceHearts yeah that is true they'll hiss for sure or they will just drop play dead LOL I find it funny for some reason when they do that. I once when I lived at my parents I thought my cat was on the fence it was pretty dark outside and it looked black so I thought oh its my cat turne as i got closer it was a baby opossum the thing didn't hiss or anything or play dead. I did not see the mother around. I kept on feeding it and every night it came back. I fed it carrots and cat food.

  • @LaceHearts

I get both - really tame friendly ones, usually the babies of the mothers I have fed over the years - then new ones who are scared. NEVER been hissed at though - probably because I feed them all - nice or not.

  • Normally he living outside and visitin you or something O_o

  • crazy owner and dog that kills a possum!

    watch?v=hxChdmrWHEk

    stop animal abusing

  • Comment removed

  • @erikeg9 what cats do you have....?

  • @erikeg9 it's not a cat, dummy. It's a racoon.

  • Thats so adorable :D

  • awwwww its soooo kyute :)

  • Possums: yet another thing that Australia produces better than its American counter-part.

    ;)

  • @SinnFein4ever lol...yup our north american possum if fugly.

  • @reodk

    Lol.

    It's not their fault, though.

They have a lot more natural enemies than Australian Possums do, so you can't hold it against them if they look like a litle bit less like a Pikachu.

    XD

  • he's cute

  • @sorlak13 uhh nope (: I live in San Diego lol I should know :P

  • dude thats fuckin awesome do they live like in san diego or sumthin:S?

  • Looks like a sugar glider on steroids.

  • white people

  • Yeah my friend was bitten by a possum last week right down to the bone.. that'll teach her to touch one next time haha! This one seems cuite though.

  • i never knew it was possible for possums to be friendly at all.

  • Awwww yay I love seeing guys who are NICE to animals, this one is adorable :)

  • aww :D

  • Um.. that's not a possom.. : x that's a sugarglider I think..

  • oh my god do you know, that's a Rat!!

  • om nom nom nom

  • creepy animal

  • that aint no possum, dumb asses thats a chin-chilla

  • awesome. i totally want a possum

  • THAT'S A POSSUM!!?? Most of the possums I've seen (none in real life...) look more like rats... but that thing looks closer to a tree kangaroo (btw... I love rats, so it wasn't an insult...)

  • @KittyCatRat the possums in New Zealand and Australia and the opossums here are two distinct groups of marsupials. They share the name because they are similar in appearance, at least to other species of opossum (there are quite a few).

  • thats supposed to be a possum? that looks like one of those friggin monkey things that are in india

  • que belleza .....

  • Neat to see now different Australian opossums (opossae?) are from the American variety - great video and wow very friendly little guy!

That thing seems way more friendly than my cat :D When I went to AUS last year I got scared shitless right during the first week when at first I thought there was a cat sitting on a fence and when I came closer it turned out to be a possum. Had never seen one before that %)

  • that cant be poussum its like a leamer i think

  • I want one also, we don't have cute possums like that here in the USA.

  • theres a diffrence between possums and oposums this is possums there usally found in austrilia

  • Well i most say that looks nothing like a possum

Never seen one with fur on it's tail

  • The possum where i live is nothing like this. The possum where i live scare the scrap out of me.

  • isn't that a chinchila

  • That is a chinchilla I think. The fur is too soft and fuzzy. :)

  • Australia has the cutest damned critters in the world!

  • thats a cool possum, but in USA they are different and not so nice lol
