yeah he was asked by the band if he wanted to officially become a member, but he said no. cause he's just the touring guitarist. He doesn't help write the songs or record for the albums, GD and BJ do all that. They just need his help live to play it all. and so BJ can be more interactive with the crowd, cause he doesn't always play guitar during some songs live.
