sorry to say this, but you really need to read more about iguanas before you share your "knowledge" ... Belly heat?.. iguanas need heat from above, "hot rocks, and so on" ( like your TV) is a slow killer.

This iguana is now 11 years old and strong as ever. Belly heat keeps her warm, and natural sunlight from the window keeps her healthy. Plus, its not very warm belly heat as its just from a cable box, or the tv. Don't act so pompous, I know what im doing.

i ran out of room so...u mentioned the closed eye...i dont know if u have ever looked but try to look at the eye that u cant see..it will normally be open still...i love it..shows the intelligence of this animal...igg was my boy and i miss him...i dont miss the top and bottom jaw scars on my arm...haha makes an oval of each little tooth. made a nasty scar

i had a iggy too he was a he haha.he went mad and attacked me good..had tp be put down he was 5ft..bout 11lbs.and yes they arnt nething like keeping a snake u gotta worry about MBD.lots of supplements and dark leafy greens.but the reason he went nuts is the smell of a human females period is the same as a female iguana..kinda gross but my male even tho in my room and my best friend (he loved me) once he reached sexual maturity and EWW my moms periods he felt i was a threat to him takin his girl.

Iggi is awesome! When I used to volunteer at a pet shop as a teenager, we had a huge iguana named Felicai and she would hang out with me while I cleaned all the animal cages!

the third eye is actually for detecting the presents of uva and uvb and to judge the strength of both.
