Think about it:Back then we got Hitler in a game(P2IN)

Most of the main characters smoke or drink(Katsu,Baofu,Maya-Baofu´s being more addicted smoking every end of battle)

The bad language was clearly more ''bad'' back then(Even demons saying ''don´t fuck with me!)

@vdeity If you think Persona 1 is good you seriously need to take off your nostalgia goggles. All the Persona games have good merit to them despite their creative differences, but P1 has not aged well at all even with it's remake.

@Sepherest It is a good game. Maybe you're too spoiled by modern games and graphics and 3D bouncing breast physics to realize that. It was closer to the traditional Shin Megami Tensai style from which Persona itself is simply a spinoff of.

Interesting characters and NPCs to talk to who say something new after every major event in the game.

Unusual storyline which set itself far apart from other RPGs at the time.

Yeah, owning every Megaten game published in english as well as playing a couple of the japanese only SNES ones obviously means I have no taste if I disregard Persona 1. It doesn't matter if it was closer to the SMT series (and it's not, even IF... is moreso and it's also better than P1), the game itself is generally not a great as everyone assumed it to be. The remake helped some issues, but not enough to make it good. It was mediocre.

@Rikku91Kairi There isn't an anime, this was a trailer they made for both of the games (P2 is in two parts) that comes with Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. If you want to try them out you should download the english translation for Innocent Sin, and then play Eternal Punishment.

@Rikku91Kairi If you google Innocent Sin Translation Blog the site should come up, and it has a link to the updated version of the game. There's also a torrent on PirateBay that has Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment together.

You should be able to play it on either the PSP or PC. I used my PSP for it and it worked fine. I also put Eternal Punishment on it after but the game freezed up a lot so I just wound up buying it instead.

And this is why I loved P2 much more than the other Persona games. I felt so attached to the cast of Innocent Sin and the plot just sucked me in. I still love the first, third and fourth Persona but they just didn't reach out as far as the second did. The part where Jun and Tatsuya were playing just pretty much touched my heart, especially if you know what Jun turns into before he's saved by the gang. I think I'll just go and replay the two P2 games all over again just for this~

That's specifically related to Persona3. Every Persona has something different for their plotlines, and Persona3 was the Evokers. Persona4 uses Tarot. The earlier Persona games were handled much differently.
