good to hear u guys r using all the relevant safety gear, comment was aimed at you but more to amateurs that see your stuff and think that anybody can just wander in. i enjoy your vids they are entertaining and hope you guys keep doing what you do safely ...happy adventuring bungee
"please wear appropriate PPE( personal protective equipment) have fun but BE SAFE" This is good advice. hard hats, safety lamps and even an electronic gas detector were used in all the deep underground explorations. Yes, there were some short excursions into the entrances of newly found mines without safety equipment. No one is encouraging anyone to do anything stupid.
no hard hats , no gas detectors, NO IDEA of ground conditions which was evident in your photos, albeit good photos, please wear appropriate PPE( personal protective equipment) have fun but BE SAFE............ive been an underground miner for over 15 yrs so at least i know what im on about . you guys amaze me its like watching someone walk into an explosives mag with a candle and cigarette in your mouth and not understanding why everyone there is shitting themselves while u remain oblivious
@01bungee NO HARD HATS ????? What were you looking at? Hard hats were worn in all the deep mines, with the exception of looking into a few entrances. No gas detectors? I guess you missed the multiple photos with the Koehler safety lamps.
...I once had a wolf-dawg way back when. Very striking... 'suppose some of them 'safer' lookin' mines still could offer a few winters' worth of furnace-fuel...or a nice coal source for a smiths' forge...

I have lived in the northern anthracite coal field just about my whole life. I look for all the mines.
