  • This guy reminds me of the BLK Killer in Kansas City. Tell that damn girl in the background to wake the fuck up.

  • okay ill nibble hows it illigal, ive seen a few private tranist systems before and guess what happened to em, they failed because it was just more convient to drive and the price was about the same as driving. but its not a straw man, if your saying privateization would save us money it should be true acrossed the board. that means privatizeing the police, emergency services, and other things we pay for with taxes would become cheaper.

  • Fuck the unions. Privatization will lower taxes because taxpayers won't have to pay your bloated salaries. Once the private buses are in full swing they'll get money through bus tickets and advertising. No taxes will be required. So I'll say it again. Fuck the unions!

  • how do you figure it will lower taxes. If a private corperation takes a bus system, then sets ticket prices to the point where its close to the amout that it is just to pay for gas and drive, but less convient than driving (wich face it most bus services are) more people are going to drive just becuse its the same cost and more convinent, and they will have to pay the construction workers even more bloated slaries to build and maintain roads. Damned if you do damned if you dont eh?

  • If private coporations takeover they'll compete with each other by offering better service and lower costs to their customers. They will have to innovate new ways of paying for their expenses. These tactics will gain them customers and ultimatley more money. It's a basic principal of economics. Competition lowers prices. With government that can't happen, because there is no competition and there are price controls. If anything government could cause inflation and make it more expensive.

  • yeah it worked soo well for healthcare. You are making the assumtion that multiple companies would be willing to spend the large chunck of cash nessicarry to add bus lines. then the increased traffic of multiple bus line still puts a hightened stress on the roads, and you still have to pay the construction workers to maintain and build roads. whats more likly to happen is what happened with health care you get 2 or 3 companies they work together price fix and then rape the tax payers for roads.

  • You honestly think that healthcare is a privatized free market industry? There is so much government in healthcare that if you were to take all the regulations, put them in a book with the dimensions of 7.5inches long and 4.5 inches wide, the book would be 28 feet tall and weigh 450pounds. The government already controls healthcare. It's just trying to takeover what's left. And yes, they would be willing to spend the money to add bus lines because that would yield more money in the long run.

  • yeah health care soo regulated that we have to spend trillions to PRIVATE insurance companies or get told to go and rot in a gutter and die. Health care isnt free market because its controlled by a minority of companies. Yep lets do that to the police and bus lines also. If private industry was going to invest in mass transit they would have already have done it somewhere. there are a lot of areas that have bad public mass transit systems, or none at all that are clammoring for mass transit.

  • Okay, that concern you're addressing about the corporations actually isn't the free market either. It's called corporatism. That's when the government enacts laws that favor certain companies over others. Once again proving that if it wasn't for the government things would be okay. I never said anything about privatizing the police. That's a strawman. Also, you'd think private mass transit would be available elsewhere, but it's not because guess what. It's illegal. Thanks government.
