As a resident of Roseland in Chicago during the 60's it was amazing to see people from the neighborhood make good. I was friends with cousins of the Panozzo brothers and remember the bad way before they went by Styx. Loved "Witch Wolf";
This album was released in October 1973, only three months after the release of their second album, Styx II, which contained "Lady." 1973 would be the only year Styx would release two studio albums, correct?
Yeah-I bought this album directly after its release and I still got this LP and I love it. I think Styx should have continued with this type of thing instead of the more soft thang they produced after this album. Henri Sweden
@Dragonfly6160 Styx pretty much followed The Beatles' lead in that whoever wrote the song normally did the lead vocals. JY is singing it, and yes, he wrote it along with a gentleman named Ray Brandle.
I have been looking for this song on U-tube forever!!! I had a, "Best of Styx" cassette from way in the early 80's with this tune on it. I wore it out. My all time favorite song of Styx is this one. Thanks!!!
@HeavensDemon966 I highly recommend buying the double CD called "The Complete Wooden Nickel Recordings." It has all four of their Wooden Nickle albums plus a nice track that wasn't on an album ironically called "Unfinished Song."

I think these albums are great, too bad the only song you ever hear done from them is Lady.

This is perhaps their best song, too bad it never went "Mainstream"

Probably the heaviest song on the album. I think all the Wooden Nickel albums are great.

I think James Young wrote this. Much different than other Styx songs.
