how are you doing Steve? i have been busy working at juvenile hall...and teaching...and singing...i just watched a lovely video of St. John Bosco..an Italian film dubbed in English...i couldn't stop crying.the Holy Spirit came through magnificently...oh the great need to teach children the hope and love of Jesus...oh his mercy and kindness..they need to know Him so desperately...its not about rules, condemnation or judgement but the time of mercy and dispensation of grace.now is the time!

I most certainly believe that our planet Earth (Gaia) has her own God - He/She/It whom we all - irrespetive of our different faiths, honour, pray to for help & guidance - as well as to simply give GRATITUDE to for the MANY blessings that He/She/It bestows upon each of us.

It's truly not important whether you call Him/Her/It 'God' or "Allah" or any other - God is God and SO BE IT!

As for St. Francis - I call upon him often when I see a stray animal requiring safe guidance HOME etc.

I like the way you present the paradox of preaching the Gospel to people who "cannot satisfy their desires".

For me, accepting Christ means accepting the impossibility of fulfillment this side of heaven & constant self emptying to create space for God.

Desire is a gift from God. Unfortunately, a materialistic person's desires can never be fulfilled. Christian desires can & will be.
