How can anybody not know how to unlock their OWN car door from the inside?

Besides the fact that most cars made in the last 10 years will automatically unlock if you pull the inside door handle. And even if hers doesn't do that, there is always some way to unlock it from inside, there has to be by federal law.

And if all else fails and she really had to get out of the car, just break the drivers window and climb out.

Besides every car manual tells you how to unlock the doors. Just read it.

I remember when my mom locked me in her car by accident a few months ago...the locks on the doors are designed in such a way that it can't be unlocked from the inside. The only way to unlock them from the inside was to push a button with a tiny door and key on it, which I was unable to find due to how dark it was. It took them three hours to realize I was still in there...
