man anakin has an awful life he had no father his mother got killed/sold he got body parts cut off 3 count em 3 times he got lit on FIRE (and became very un attractive) he worked as wattos slave for a while a day when he was a kid and to wrap it all up he had to wear a suit for the rest of his life when being burned. i would hate to be him.

anakin was a young man when he turned to the dark side so his good self went into a kind of hybernation.When his son luke redeems vader his good self is awakened hence why you see it as it is at the end.It also ties all six movies together well.
