  • I have a 3.9L 9C1 that sounds the same but deeper...so much for me getting flows:(

  • The 3.5L and 3.9L are not much different. They sound the same as each other actually.

  • sounds greate how much did u pay for flowmaster super 44

  • i have a 3.9 too but cant afford to get to to sound like that lol that really sounds good!!!!!!

  • man i got a 2011 impala ls......this is how i want mine to sound.....but i got the 3.5l engine......i dont kno if it would sound the same

  • @BigBossaNova the 3.9L only has a 30hp gain over the 3.5L, both being V6's - any sound variation will be extremely minor. There are a few videos up here of guys w/ the 3.5 with Super 44's. I'm most likely goin to get them myself after hearing the way it sounds.

  • @SH4DOWxBULL3T oh ok thanks for that information.....wat kind of car are u drivin

  • @BigBossaNova I have an 07 LT 3.5L.. I've been checkin out videos, like this one, to get an idea of what type of exhuast I want for it.

  • Where did you get those tips? I like them. What size are they?

  • Around how much does it cost to have the flowmasters installed??

  • does it have any droning issues inside the car? How does it sound on the highway inside the car?

  • can you link a website to what you order or whatelse you did? i have a 3.5 LT and i wanted to put some exhaust on it... but i dont know what to put on them to make them growl like that.

  • This Is exacly what I want for my 3.5 impala

  • Honestly glad someone found some good perf. parts for a 3.9, thanks for the upload!

  • Im planning on buying an 06 ltz myself..man i have to get this exhaust system

  • put magnaflow on my impala and it sounds stock did you keep your resonator or delete it?

  • i want a 2000-2005 impala. and now i know what exhaust to use!!!

  • do u think this set up can work on my 2006 monte calro LTZ3.9?

  • I have the same car and just bought the flowmaster 44's for mine but did you just put the stock tailpipes back on or if you got new ones where did you find them?

    Thanks!

  • it does sound like the 5.3 a good bit!

  • sounds great. what all did you have to do to the exhaust setup?

  • sounds fucken sick

  • what size inlets and outlets on them 44's did ya have to use??

  • Ur shit sound good as hell. Did they just change out the mufflers thats it?

  • damn sounds nice

    like a v8

  • Sounds very good I got an 07 Malibu ss with no mufflers sounds decent check it out sometime hdgetsome21

  • Wow! That does sound mean! I am putting a super 44 on my Olds Intrigue 3.5 when it arrives...just ordered from ebay. I cant wait!

  • ok so i have a 06 impalal ltz with the 3.9 v6 how much would that cost me and does anyone have links for me cause i cant find this shit lol

  • ok dude i have magnaflo on mine i get a growl but my question is how did u get the intake i looked at k&n they only have it for the 5.3 v8 not the 3.9 where did u get this intake???

  • @Ywce07

I got my intake from ebay. Its a basic kit but it has a K&N cone filter. just search "impala intake" I also wanted the whole K&N kit but all isnt lost if your trying to do this.

  • Is this an v6 or an v8? I just got my flowmasters on my 03 and its a v6, and does not sound half as good, especially when in motion.

  • thats a 3.9L V6 sir.... the V8s are only seen in the SS :D

  • @cjw0788

    3.9 V6 and thanks! i love it

  • say man, can you send me the link to where you got these, i just got a 3.9 lt earlier this month i gotta get this

  • @blueprintarchitech

I actually just went to an exhaust shop and they had them on site. You can go on flowmaster's website and pick some out if you want to get them online

  • @blueprintarchitech Can I get that link too

  • damn, you'd never guess that that was a v6. sounds great, what kind of exhaust and intake?

  • @mattnd123

flowmaster mufflers and a fabricated intake from ebay with a K&N cone filter

  • @ninthwardtig You just switch out the mufflers and that's it or the whole exhaust system? Btw I'm getting one today and this car sounds MEANNNNNN

  • Sounds Great! When I bought my impala didn't know what i was getting into and got the shaft. Ended up with the 3.4l The worst part is you cant do nothing to it. But I did the exhaust and it sounds alright. Check it if you want.

  • I've got Magnaflow on my SS but I have to say this sounds great for a V6!

  • Comment removed

  • Damn is this an SS? if not u surely got me cause that sounds great!!!!......Now i Really want an Impala SS

  • @435379

the SS sounds even more amazing with the flowmasters. A buddy of mine has the V8 and i drool everytime i hear it

  • im putting super 44's on my 2.8 v6

  • Nice video man! Did you change out the pipes or just the mufflers?

  • sounds like a v8

  • Sounds mean

  • hell ya i cant wait to get these imitations taken off t-bird... im getting super 44's put on tomorrow :D

  • awesome! get some sound clips up when you do

  • yeah im gonna do the same thing to my 3.5lt LT1 impala. i already have the intake and your right, it really does help with low end torque and throttle response is alot livelier.

  • it soulds great. Im looking to get the super 44's. are they worth it?

  • definately, it makes it sound like it should. but if ur looking for better performance, the cold air intake is a must. either way, u cant go wrong with better gas milage

  • your absolutely right

  • Sounds awesome, the 3.1/3.4/3.5/3.9 60 Degree V6 is in my opinion the best sounding V6 out there, check out my vids when you get a chance.

  • BTW, did how much of a diffrence did it make in power and fuel milage?

  • I have to agree that is one of the best sounding v6s out there. It easly pass as an SS with an LS4. BTW, is the resonator still on or no?

  • Thanks man, still have the resonator on. As for, power....i actually felt like i lost a little bit on the low end. but it felt a lot better from 60 to 100. The biggest performance increase i found is from the intake. It definitley helps the exhaust perform a lot better. and helps alot on the low end with quicker throttle response. Ive also found a signifcant increase in gas mileage. i can get between 28 and 30mpgs hwy on my 06 3.9 no AFM. hope this helps

  • Cool, thanks man. I have the same engine in my 07 uplander and i have already done a K&N but i am also thinking of replaceing the massive stock muffler with flowmaster, but still keeping the resonator intact. I know its a van, but every little bit helps. Plus the 3.9 is one awesome motor!

  • you should swap out your stock cat for a magnaflow high flow cat, and u should swap the stock resonator for a aftermarket as well. this way you wont loose anything at low rpm's, you'll actually gain a little.

  • I agree it sounds good but only way it could pass as an ls4 is when it's in 4 cyl mode cause other wise that motor sounds nothing like mine. Nice none the less.

  • Thanks alot...really appreciated!

  • This sounds awesome...i have a LT3 to how much did it cost to get every thing done and what type of 44 is that?

  • after the tips, the whole set up ran me 320. not too bad. And honestly i think its the best sounding V6 that ive heard. nice deep no rasp. They are called super 44's. i wanted to put this up for 3.9 people like you looking for something deeper than magnaflows.

  • yeah man, magnaflow's are way to high pitched for me. they don't sound bad, but i hate anything that makes it sound like a ricer at top end lol

  • Sounds good, though i'm sure the video doesn't do it justice

  • yeah the vids never get it right. But im glad i went with the super 44's. nice deep growl.
