Good job dude! The Axe_FX is nailing that tone! I take it by the tags you have in this video you are using a Soldano model in the Axe-FX? Did you get the backing track from somewhere or did you make it yourself? Once again, outstanding playing and tone!
The Soldano is a 'real' Soldano Decatone off camera. Have it connected to a THD Hot Plate (speaker load) It's line out is then sent to the axe-fx which provides the cab emulation and basic eq and slight reverb. Then connected to computer. Could have used the axe-fx for all but wanted to try and record a real amp to see if it could be done.
@eoinlandy ...Interesting.. I also own the Axe Fx. Quick question: does it mean one can get classic powerful heads (like a 50 or 100w marshall head for ex), plug the head in the axe fx for cab simulation, and the axe into the computer.
See..I could afford some nice heads but I just do not have the right neighbours..
>Could I crank a Marshall head going through the Axe Fx, lower the overall input and still benefit from the classic Marshall sound with headphones? Would the quality suffer?
Not directly, you need 1 more thing. An attenuator which provides a line out. I'm using a THD Hot Plate. It provides the speaker load (essential or you'll blow the amp up !). I then take the line out from this and connect it to the axe-fx. It provides the cab (IR), reverb,EQ etc etc. So you can have a raging amp to record / play through headphones. If you get a Hot Plate write me and I'll tell you more about how to set it up.
@cheopsnet ...and yes you can crank it but have to set the input level accordingly so it doesn't clip. This video above is a bit on the compressed side, sounds alot better in real life. You do get the full tone but at headphone level.
can u please message me the backing track for this song i cant find it anywhere
